Everyone knows that Algebra is really a vast branch of mathematics thats why for its better explanation it is categorized in subparts like algebra 1, algebra 2 and linear algebra.
Algebra makes me want to puke. So in responce to lily loving math, I ,on the other hand despise, mathhhh.!
this is what I spent my time on this morning. It actually made me really happy. Yay. I think it counts as algebra -- I was figuring out how to express one formula in terms of another formula...
I had to make a short movie with original content as part of my ICT400 paper at teachers college.
Its to help me say to students that Algebra is more of a mind training then something you would use 'as is' in real life
Not to say I made this poor quality on purpose – But.
There is an interesting teaching phenomenon about not showing great work as an example when you want students to try and emulate it. It turns out that students look at great work and think 'I could never do that' and so don't try as hard.
If you show middle to low quality work it is seen as a more achievable goal and students work harder to achieve it. Then of course you can raise the bar higher.
