The Alexandra Bridge is a steel arch-span bridge crossing the Fraser River on the north side of Spuzzum, British Columbia and 39 km from Hope, on the Trans-Canada Highway in the Fraser Canyon region of southern British Columbia, Canada.

Alexandra Mill Uppermill was built in 1860 by flannel manufacturers J. Bradbury & Co. This four-storey stone built mill has had many uses over the years. In the mid 1980s it was a craft centre which was divided into small units. In the late 90's it was then converted into apartments.
A stunning mill building which I think looks best from the river side.
When it was built in 1882, the Alexandra Bridge was one of the country’s largest, strongest and most beautiful bridges, a feat of engineering. In 2013 the surviving piers, towers and abutments of the bridge are a monument to the skills of its engineer Leslie Duncan Macgeorge. The structures have withstood the power of the Clutha/Mata-au, one of New Zealand’s largest and swiftest rivers, for over 130 years.

The old single lane suspension bridge (the stone pillars) was built in 1882 and closed in 1958 when the steel bridge was opened. It crosses the Mata-au / Clutha river which runs from Lakes Wanaka and Hawea to the sea and also drains lakes Wakatipu (Queenstown) and Dunstan (Cromwell). We were waiting to charge our EV when I took this. My wife started talking to a couple also taking in the view. When we walked back to the car it turned out the other couple had been charging their car :)

This is the walkway that leads to the top of Alexandra Arch. Alexandra Arch is an 80-metre-long (260 ft) bridge that features a curved deck and tilted arch like an opened leaf, connecting Alexandra Road, Singapore and Hyderabad Road. It was designed by Buro Happold with LOOK Architects. The Gillman Village, which was a former British military camp in the early 20th century, now houses a mixture of restaurants, pubs and art galleries. Like the Henderson Waves bridge, Alexandra Arch will be lit with colour-changing LED lamps. At the end of the Alexandra Arch, there is a path lined with flowering plants which leads to the HortPark.
