Sofia (Bulgaria)
The St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral (Bulgarian: Храм-паметник „Свети Александър Невски“, Hram-pametnik „Sveti Aleksandar Nevski“) is a Bulgarian Orthodox cathedral in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. Built in Neo-Byzantine style, it serves as the cathedral church of the Patriarch of Bulgaria and is one of the largest Eastern Orthodox cathedrals in the world, as well as one of Sofia's symbols and primary tourist attractions.

La catedral-monumento San Alejandro Nevski (en búlgaro Свети Александър Невски) en Sofía, capital de Bulgaria, es una obra en honor a los rusos caídos por la liberación de Bulgaria del Imperio Turco en 1877-1878.
Es la mejor representación de la construcción ortodoxa en el mundo, reconocida por su arquitectura, frescos, dimensiones. Mide 72 metros de largo y 42 metros de ancho y 52 metros de alto, tiene un área de 3170 m² y tiene capacidad para 5.000 personas.
Es una de las mayores catedrales cristianas ortodoxas del mundo y en su cripta se encuentra una galería de arte antiguo búlgaro y renacentista del período IV d.c. - XIX d.c. compuesto por iconos antiguos. Esta galería posee una de las mayores y mejores colecciones de iconos(frescos) ortodoxos en el mundo. La iglesia fue proclamada monumento de la cultura en 1924.
Loyd Alexander TS (1955-1961) dient heute als Werbeträger für ein Museum in Bernkastel-Kues. In solch einem Auto haben wir früher (vor über 60Jahren) unsere Familienausflüge unternommen.
Keine Gurte, keine Kopfstützen.
Das war noch ein echtes Abenteuer. Mit 40cm langen Lutschern im Mund (aus den Niederlanden) wurde auch schon mal der Rachenraum ramponiert.
Loyd Alexander TS (1955-1961) serves today as an advertising medium for a museum in Bernkastel-Kues. We used to drive a car like this on our family trips over 60 years ago. No belts, no headrests. That would be a real adventure. With 40cm long lollipops in the mouth (from the Netherlands), the pharynx was often damaged.

Die Birnensorte Alexander Lucas (Pyrus communis ‘Alexander Lucas’), auch ‘Lucas Alexander’, wurde erstmals 1874 von der Baumschule Transon in Orléans angebaut und verbreitet, nachdem sie einige Jahre zuvor in einem Wald bei Blois in Frankreich vom namensgebenden Alexandre Lucas entdeckt worden war....
Das hellgelbe bis weißliche Fruchtfleisch ist schmelzend und saftig, aber etwas körnig. Der Geschmack ist süß, mit wenig Säure

(127/365) Smyrnium olusatrum better known as Alexanders HGGT! This plant grows in profusion here in SE Ireland, the road verges are covered in it during April & May. Now considered to be a native Irish plant, having been introduced prior to 1500 AD, it is widely naturalised, particularly near the coast. The flowers are much loved by pollinating insects.

I have watched this place deteriorate through the years. Not too many years ago it had awful green paint job.
Finally, it has deteriorated enough to warrant capturing a shot of it
Some say it was hotel back in the day.

Has any man every conquered so much of the world at such a young age? Alexander the King of Macedon was given the title Μέγας (Great) for his exploits. The Egyptian city of Alexandria was named in his honour. He conquered the Persians and extended his empire to the very borders of India. And all of this was achieved by the time of his sudden death at the age of 32!

The brand new AD Enviro500EV is pictured inside the facilities at Farnborough during the Open Day hosted by the manufacturer.

Alexander L. Kielland was a Norwegian semi-submersible drilling rig that capsized while working in the Ekofisk oil field in March 1980, killing 123 people.
The capsize was the worst disaster in Norwegian waters since World War II. The rig, located approximately 320 km east of Dundee, Scotland, was owned by the Stavanger Drilling Company of Norway and was on hire to the U.S. company Phillips Petroleum at the time of the disaster. The rig was named after the Norwegian writer Alexander Lange Kielland.

The P&R did return after COVID after a very long period away- except its now only every 20 minutes, the lowest frequency its ever run at. The buses are now looking very tired inside, but apparently the service still exists not due to workers/ shoppers, but its very popular with College students.
Meet Alexander, born on 6th Aug 2010 in London. My first child.
Alexander was unexpectedly born at home in our own bed without the help of any midwives. I delivered this cute little boy myself with the help of my girlfriends mother and her sister. An unbelievable experience we all will never forget. Mother, baby and the 3 midwives-for-a-day are all doing fine!
