I had gone out on a nice saturday evening to take a walk and maybe work on my 100 Strangers project. I got a bit more than I originally bargained for when I got near the convention center where the local anime convention, Animazement, was going on. Lots of people crowded the streets in wild costumes. They were mostly from anime that I didn't recognize at all, but many went with costumes from other nerdy things that I did recognize. I quickly ran into my old friend, Micah, and we walked around shooting people for a couple hours. I shot enough people that I could easily finish out that hundred strangers project. Instead, I'll include just one of my favorites.

Alexa was out at the convention showing off this fantastic steampunk outfit. She's actually a model and was incredibly comfortable in front of the camera. I snapped a few images ( see my photostream for more)

alexa here wanted a new facebook profile picture, but seeing as she's in boston and i am not it wasn't really practical for me to actually take a new one. so i went through all my pictures from this day and another and ended up finding this, which i didn't really notice at first, but i think the candidness is what i like about it. so up this goes :)
