Since I've taken a few sun through the tree photos this season, I thought one more won't hurt. This was taken metres away from the car park. By the time I'd made it off the ridge and back to the wooded slopes, the sun was setting. Once I'd reached the bottom of the steps, the sun was only five minutes away from dropping below the horizon.
In those five minutes, I decided to capture a few photos of the sun through the trees. For some reason, a green halo formed around the sun but only around the 50mm part of the lens. I normally do what I can to avoid including lens flare in a photo but it seemed to work well here.
2025 went by so quickly with so many chances and changes.
