Albrecht or Danube Fountain - Albertinaplatz square - Vienna - Austria
The Danube Fountain, also known as the Albrecht Fountain, was designed by the Austrian architect Moritz von Loehr and decorated with Carrara marble statues by the sculptor of the same nationality Johann Meixner.
Its construction was carried out in 1869. The polygonal encapsulation, in the Neo-Renaissance style, is the work of Moritz vo Loehr, while the fountain and the beautiful marble figures Johan Meixner.
In the fountain, 3 titans from Greek mythology crouch on the ground to support the main figures on their shoulders, which are: the Roman God Danubius and Vindobona representing the Danube river and the city of Vienna, respectively. Hence it is also known as the Source of the Danube.
Besides Danubius and Vindobona, its most important tributaries are also represented. The initial construction dating from 1869, contained up to 10 additional figures distributed in 2 niches in the wall and next to the fountain. At present and due to the reconstruction carried out to correct the damage suffered during the Second World War, its size has been reduced and now there are only 4 figures in each of the niches in the walls. On the left side, the figures representing the Mur, Salzach, Morava and Sava rivers. On the right, those representing the rivers Tisza, Rába, Enns and Traun.

Clothed in an elegant body designed by Count Albrecht von Goetz, the BMW 507 was powered by the first German post-war all-aluminium eight cylinder engine. Its quintessentially 1950s style was every bit as appropriate to take Audrey Hepburn to Tiffany's for breakfast as it was to cover long continental journeys in sybaritic comfort. Elvis Presley owned this particular model!
The BMW 507 is a roadster that was produced by BMW from 1956 to 1959. Initially intended to be exported to the United States at a rate of thousands per year, it ended up being too expensive, resulting in a total production figure of 252 cars and heavy losses for BMW.
John Surtees was given a 507 by Count Agusta for winning the 1956 500cc World Motorcycle Championship on a MV Agusta. Surtees worked with Dunlop to develop disc brakes for the front wheels of the 507 and his 507 eventually had disc brakes on all four wheels. Surtees owned his 507 until his death. Following his death, the Surtees car sold for £3,809,500 plus commission in July 2018. The 507 owned by Albrecht von Goertz was sold for £2,367,000 plus commission at Bonhams on 1 December 2018.

All Saints’ Picture (Landauer Altar), 1511
Albrecht Dürer (1471 - 1528)
Oil on poplar panel
135 x 123,4 cm
Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien
"The Nuremberg merchant Matthäus Landauer founded the “Twelve Brothers’ House” as a home for aged and destitute craftsmen. He commissioned Dürer to do the altar-piece for the associated chapel. The All Saints’ Picture depicts the adoration of the Holy Trinity by the heavenly angels and saints united in the community of “God’s state” as well as by earthly believers of all times..." www.khm.at/en/objectdb/detail/615/?offset=23&lv=list
The original frame is based on a design by Dürer and was probably carved by Ludwig Krug. It is in the Germanisches Nationalmuseum in Nuremberg, here we see a copy from 1880/81.

Man in Hat
This is a portrait of a completely imaginary person. I had an Art History Prof who was very fond of Albrecht Durer. We saw lots of his work. So, this is pretending to be a Durer self-portrait.
