Blue Tit in the sunshine. [Cyanistes caeruleus]
This little beauty was among lots (and lots!) of other wee birdies coming down to my feeders during this brief period of strong January sunshine, yesterday.
I sat for ages watching the antics and interactions of the birdies - taking lots of photographs - marvelling at their colours, speed and agility. Isn’t it wonderful to have these gorgeous wee miracles in our lives?

“From all my airs and graces
To the little things I do,
Everything is pointless without you.
Of all the dreams I'm chasing
There's only one I choose;
Everything is pointless without you.”

With steampunk airs, this set of SYS gives a fresh and interesting air that harmonizes with the metallic structures of the train stations.

With his wise rasta look, this cat proudly sports natural “braids”, the poetic result of a carefree life or just a brush-free routine.
Quirky yet full of tenderness, he reveals a unique charm that reminds us beauty sometimes hangs by a thread … of fur, naturally🤔

Once more the Heavenly Power
Makes all things new,
And domes the red-plowed hills
With loving blue;
The blackbirds have their wills,
The throstles too.
Opens a door in Heaven;
From skies of glass
A Jacob's ladder falls
On greening grass,
And o'er the mountain-walls
Young angels pass.
Before them fleets the shower,
And burst the buds,
And shine the level lands,
And flash the floods;
The stars are from their hands
Flung through the woods,
The woods with living airs
How softly fanned,
Light airs from where the deep,
All down the sand,
Is breathing in his sleep,
Heard by the land.
O, follow, leaping blood,
The season's lure!
O heart, look down and up,
Serene, secure,
Warm as the crocus cup,
Like snow-drops, pure!
Past, Future glimpse and fade
Through some slight spell,
A gleam from yonder vale,
Some far blue fell;
And sympathies, how frail,
In sound and smell!
Till at thy chuckled note,
Thou twinkling bird,
The fairy fancies range,
And, lightly stirred,
Ring little bells of change
From word to word.
For now the Heavenly Power
Makes all things new,
And thaws the cold, and fills
The flower with dew;
The blackbirds have their wills,
The poets too.

After a wet start to the day, the afternoon yesterday turned sunny with big, puffy white clouds. I put a few treats on the fence and Mack obliged.
I got a shingles vaccine yesterday and last night I developed aches, a fever, chills... which, I read, is a fairly common reaction. The new vaccine provides stronger protection against getting shingles in the future but is a little harsher. I only mention this because I wanted to post this photo for Happy Caturday - before the group closed but I'm back off to bed. I will definitely comment later this even or tomorrow.
Happy Caturday: Airs above the ground
Maui, Hawaii
“No alien land in all the world has any deep strong charm for me but that one (Maui), no other land could so longingly and so beseechingly haunt me, sleeping and waking, through half a lifetime, as that one has done. Other things leave me, but it abides; other things change, but it remains the same. For me the balmy airs are always blowing, its summer seas flashing in the sun; the pulsing of its surfbeat is in my ear; I can see its garlanded crags, its leaping cascades, its plumy palms drowsing by the shore, its remote summits floating like islands above the cloud wrack; I can feel the spirit of its wildland solitudes, I can hear the splash of its brooks; in my nostrils still lives the breath of flowers that perished twenty years ago.” - Mark Twain

This is the blue clipper and the image was taken in the sound of mull from the Mull ferry. It was the weekend of the Tall ships race which was eventually cancelled due to weather, I believe because it was windy :-)
Here's the complete line-up from last weekend. Yep, it was a pretty impressive fleet. I honestly didn't expect to see so many air-cooled beauties together... at least not in KL!

Oh, please, be curious!
I arise from dreams of thee
In the first sweet sleep or night,
When the winds are breathing low,
And the stars are shining bright:
I arise from dreams of thee,
And a spirit in my feet
Has led me- who knows how?
To thy chamber-window, sweet!
The wandering airs they faint
On the dark, the silent stream-
The champak odors fail
Like sweet thoughts in a dream;
The nightingale's complaint,
It dies upon her heart-
As I must die on thine,
Oh, beloved as thou art!
Oh, lift me from the grass!
I die! I faint! I fail!
Let thy love in kisses rain
On my lips and eyelids pale.
My cheek is cold and white, alas!
My heart beats loud and fast-
Oh! press it close to thine own again,
Where it will break at last!

Do not be fooled by appearances
Madagascar - Under airs that are sometimes a little harsh, the Malagasy people deserve to be known. Not always engaging at first, if you take the time to reach out to them and strike up a conversation you can make friends easily.
This closed air is that of people who do not have an easy life and who expect nothing from her, nor from anyone. I have seen many like them in all parts of the world. We would not like to cross them in a deserted and dark street. And yet we must not be fooled by appearances.
I took this photo without aiming, the camera on my chest because I wanted to keep their expression.
When they passed me without paying attention, I caught up with them to show them the photo.
The gloomy air displayed in the photo gave way to beaming smiles. It "cost" me four cigarettes and two beers.
Madagascar is like everywhere; when one pays a beer we quickly made some friends.

The dragonfly, predatory tunes, here the angle of view can not see but she is cutting meticulously a butterfly wing by wing to make her meal. In turn, it will certainly serve meals to all the birds in the area. So is the life of the fields ........................... ..
