Before there were AirPods, iPhones and iPods used to come with headphones. These are second generation and true to Apple's form were nicely packaged in a unique way rather than dropped into the box.

One of the young hawks that hatched this spring came back as I was working on the deck. He was so lould he drowned out my airpods. Seeing his beak in processing, I see he must've just had lunch.
Well, I got a new pair of Airpods for my present. The decorated trees as a backdrop (sadly taken down earlier today). Scene approx 2.5 inches across
“You can go in” said the random man outside that was pacing up and down as I was lining up this shot…
“Sorry what was that?” As I pull out my airpod.
“You can go inside”…”What is in there?” My curiosity level way too high as I’m standing outside this dark empty run down building in a side street of London. “An exhibition” he finally says. Ok great I think as I walk over to the doorway, I wonder if I will make it out again?
The place was so nicely done, it reminded me of one of the many restoration projects I have been involved with over the years. It was like a preserved time warp. The art was interesting, but what got me was the building itself and the light…
I walked in the dark hallway, someone sat alone to my right head behind a counter with their head stuck in a book and didnt even glance up. Ok I thought.. this isn't weird at all.
I must say this, I didn’t particularly like the bollards in front of the building, so I decided to try out the new ai clone tool in lightroom and was pretty impressed by how good it actually was! I am honestly not a huge fan of ai generated images, but using ai to remove distractions in an image was certainly a game changer for me.

Frosty Sunrise...
(A TRUE STORY)
Overnight we had another dumping of fresh snow. The only problem was that in the past few days, we have had temperatures that have hovered around the freezing mark, with temperatures over the last two days falling well below freezing. The repeated melting and freezing has left a thick layer of very slippery ice hidden underneath the new snow.
Lets just say I slipped and fell quite a few times during my photo hike this morning, my last fall being the last straw; as I fell I put most of my effort trying to protect my camera and not me.
I hit the ground so hard one of my Apple Airpods popped out of my ear and landed somewhere in all that fluffy white snow, disappearing somewhere nearby... Now picture this, I am now on my hands and knees crawling around sifting through the snow looking for a white small earbud in the five inches of fresh white snow.
After about half an hour, my hands now significantly frozen and my pants are also soaked through from the melting snow. I give up and walk defeated home.
As i walk through the door my wife walks out of the kitchen with a big smile and a cup of hot tea to greet me. I tell her my sad story to which she reminds me that you can use the "find my phone app" to make the buds emit a high frequency sound to help locate them. so out the two of us go to the scene of the crime.. LOL within a minute she has located the missing bud due to the chirping sound it was making. That is one of the many reasons why i love my wife so much. Thank you Karen once again... I couldn't do any of this without you!

This was reshot because the original submission was inadvertently shot at ISO 6400.
Not so long ago these were used daily for Zoom and Skype calls. Thankfully, that is not the case anymore.
