On consulting colour swatches in Google Images, the shade of pink for this wall at the Art Gallery of South Australia is somewhere between Flamingo and Salmon. The ornately carved wooden arch in the foreground and the picture frames complement the matte wall and airconditioning vents.
A beautifully spare image — almost pure geometry, with rust bleeding through the slats like a secret. I liked how the interplay of light and shadow highlights the rust and textures of this metal HVAC grille set in weathered concrete bricks, documenting the passage of the years. And for those with time on their hands, the sense of urban grit might invite one to contemplate the stories hidden behind this simple yet intriguing facade.
Aeolus was the keeper of the winds in Greek mythology. A ventilation grille is essentially a modern Aeolian device, controlling what passes through and what doesn't.

"Oppressive heatwaves have become more frequent and more severe as a result of the climate crisis – a trend that’s expected to continue, and could worsen in proportion to how quickly we can transition from fossil fuels.
To beat the heat, people are increasingly turning to air conditioning. The number of AC units globally could increase by 244% by 2050, according to the International Energy Agency..." www.theguardian.com/environment/2023/jul/29/air-condition...

I've done this scene before in the day, but thought it deserved the panoramic treatment. :)

this person makes a living from repairing car airconditioning and other electrical issues with your car. in his shop are surplus spare parts needed to put your car airconditioning and electrical components back to order. i had mine fixed several years ago and still working for less than half the price. not bad!
