Great White Egret - Ardea Alba

The great egret is generally a very successful species with a large and expanding range, occurring worldwide in temperate and tropical habitats. It is ubiquitous across the Sun Belt of the United States and in the Neotropics. In North America, large numbers of great egrets were killed around the end of the 19th century so that their plumes could be used to decorate hats. Numbers have since recovered as a result of conservation measures. Its range has expanded as far north as southern Canada. However, in some parts of the southern United States, its numbers have declined due to habitat loss, particularly wetland degradation through drainage, grazing, clearing, burning, increased salinity, groundwater extraction and invasion by exotic plants. Nevertheless, the species adapts well to human habitation and can be readily seen near wetlands and bodies of water in urban and suburban areas.

The great egret is partially migratory, with northern hemisphere birds moving south from areas with colder winters. It is one of the species to which the Agreement on the Conservation of African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbirds (AEWA) applies.

In 1953, the great egret in flight was chosen as the symbol of the National Audubon Society, which was formed in part to prevent the killing of birds for their feathers.

On 22 May 2012, a pair of great egrets was announced to be nesting in the UK for the first time at the Shapwick Heath nature reserve in Somerset. The species is a rare visitor to the UK and Ben Aviss of the BBC stated that the news could mean the UK's first great egret colony is established. The following week, Kevin Anderson of Natural England confirmed a great egret chick had hatched, making it a new breeding bird record for the UK. In 2017, seven nests in Somerset fledged 17 young, and a second breeding site was announced at Holkham National Nature Reserve in Norfolk where a pair fledged three young.

In 2018, a pair of great egrets nested in Finland for the first time, raising four young in a grey heron colony in Porvoo.

"I've read about falling leaves in fifty thousand poems and so on...

but, seeing the leaves fall always moves me...

especially those falling on the boulevards

and if they are chestnut leaves

especially if a child passes by and if it is sunny

especially if I have received good news from a friend

especially if my heart doesn't ache that day

especially if I believe that my love loves me

especially if on such a day I feel in agreement with others and with myself

I'm touched by falling leaves"

Pip: "After our agreement yesterday…

How did I let this happen !?!???"

===================================

It was Nov 1st in Oz today, but still seeing all these inventive Happy Halloween pics on Fl., felt inspired to do a funny photo session with the girls for it.

At first, I had in mind to put a tiny ornamental pumpkin on Pippi's head and offer a treat to get a big-eyed face.

Went to the fruit/vege barn and found hardly any punkies at all, let alone the mini-ornamental ones I wanted.

Then tried the cheap'n nasty shops for some witchy dress up stuff.

Nothing. Sold out ..

So after Pips' previous pic when I'd decided she earned a break from wearing silly stuff … will she ever trust me again on my agreements …?

In conclusion, I have to say, my timing is way off.

Even as late as yesterday, I should've come up with this idea for the 12MonthsforDogs group October challenge for 'Hats & Things'…

I really got them the wrong way 'round this time.

The pic I did post, would've been good for this week's 52WeeksforDogs challenge on 'Depth'..

* Big Sigh*…

A bit late, but anyway …. Happy Halloween !

( Looks better in large ..)

you were meant to meet

somebody in this life

to learn something,

something you needed to learn,

you both agreed to this meeting

but have now forgotten.

we are made to hurt each other

in order to learn that lesson,

but all started out of love,

and one day it will again be clear,

that love is the ground,

our source and aim.

I am now grateful,

but it still pains,

Lord it does!

Let the pain burn away

what is superfluous

let it make me

what I'm supposed to be.

Belgium, Flanders, Antwerp, Meir, Feestzaal (slightly cropped).

The Stadsfeestzaal on the Meir started its life as an exposition building. Its style is one of the neo- ones of the time (1908): neoclassicist. The architect was Alexis Van Mechelen.

It was one of the most famous venues in Antwerp – it hosted art exhibitions, the Antwerp Antiques Fair, the Book Fair and the Motor Show. But in December 2000, a severe fire destroyed almost the entire building.

In 2004 the city council signed an agreement with a project developer for the reconstruction. In October 2007 the completely renovated Stadsfeestzaal again opened its doors to the general public, this time as a luxury shopping centre.

The good news was that the glass dome with gold leaf, the stairwell, the original decorations, sculptures, mosaics, wall reliefs and oak parquet flooring have been faithfully rebuilt. And the marble in the main hall comes from the same quarry as the marble originally used for the hall.

The bad news is that the total feel of the mall borders on the post-modern.

This is number 25 of the Consumerism album and 77 of the Antwerpen one.

The D&RGW and UP had an agreement that each would supply SD45 locomotives to power the Kaiser unit coal trains. UP assigned 12 while Rio Grande assigned six.

Two of Rio Grande's six find themselves in the joint UP-Utah Railway yard in Provo, Utah on Jan. 9, 1977.

I guess the three cubbies are in agreement of what they think of their big brother Amari...lol

This photo is from one of their first meetings so both cubs and Amari were still getting to know each other. Now, it is very different and the cubs groom Amari and vice versa.

It took a good solid week of gradual introductions for them to get to this point though.

By the keepers being persistent and Misty reprimanding Amari when needed, has lead to him now being able to be part of the pride.

I just adore their faces.

Just something quick I built in about 20 minutes. The extra layering is just so that the thin build is held together. I found a use for some of my sand green plates and bricks which is good, I really like how the cacti look.

In remembrance of September 11, 2001. Thank you to all those who gave their lives, health, and time to save us you are all remembered and this work is dedicated to you.

Now that we have finally ended the war in Afghanistan let's hope that we can continue living and debating rather than using violence because war never really resolves anything. We need to debate with empathy, respect, positivity, patience, compromise, trust, truth, appreciation, facing the problem head-on together, staying calm, defining the problem, and finding common areas of agreement in order to help us reach the goal of compatibility. If both sides have the will to solve the problem a solution can be found. It takes time, effort, goodwill, and resolve, and a great deal of diplomacy and love, but peace is possible, let's make peace our goal!

We need to come together as families, villages, counties, states, countries, and most importantly globally.

When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down “happy.” They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.

Cadillac Place, formerly the General Motors Building, is a landmark high-rise office complex located at 3044 West Grand Boulevard in the New Center area of Detroit, Michigan. It was renamed for the French founder of Detroit, Antoine Laumet de La Mothe, sieur de Cadillac

The ornate class-A office building was constructed of steel, limestone, granite, and marble between 1919 and 1923

In 2001 GM moved the last of its employees into the Renaissance Center on the Detroit River.[7] In 1999, General Motors transferred the property to New Center Development, Inc., a non-profit venture controlled by TrizecHahn Office Properties which acted as developer and began renovation on the upper floors which GM vacated in 2000.[8] The Annex was constructed shortly after the main building, and in the 1940s, it was connected to the adjacent Argonaut Building with a pedestrian bridge on the fourth floor. A parking structure was constructed to the east across Cass Avenue and also connected with a pedestrian bridge. A third bridge was constructed across Grand Boulevard in the early 1980s, to connect the building with New Center One and the St. Regis Hotel.

Government of Michigan—Cadillac Place[edit]

The building now houses several Government of Michigan agencies under a 20-year lease agreement approved in 1998. At the end of the lease, the State has the option to purchase the structure for $1.[9] The building's 2002 renovation to house State offices was one of the nation's largest historic renovation projects.

Upon completion it was renamed Cadillac Place as a tribute to Detroit's founder, Antoine Laumet de La Mothe, sieur de Cadillac.

Cadillac Place currently houses over 2,000 State employees including the Michigan Court of Appeals for District I. The building's former executive office suite serves as the Detroit office for Michigan's governor and attorney general, and several Justices of the Michigan Supreme Court have offices in the building.

In certain situations of life creates strong bonds between humans and the animal world. My feeling then, but today, I suggest that the proposed image is one of those

situations. It is usually said that the dog is man's best friend, in this case it seems to me that the friendship is amply returned.

Tuesday's agreement between the US and Ukraine over a proposed temporary ceasefire in the war with Russia represents a remarkable change of course.

Just a week ago, the US suspended military aid and intelligence sharing with Ukraine in the aftermath of the bitter meeting between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump at the White House.

A strategy that involves a whirlwind of public threats and concessions is not without risks, as has been painfully apparent to the more than 60% of Americans with investments in the US stock market in recent weeks.

The Cape Town Stadium is an association football (soccer) and rugby union stadium in Cape Town, South Africa, that was built for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. During the planning stage, it was known as the Green Point Stadium, which was the name of the older stadium on an adjacent site, and this name was also used frequently during World Cup media coverage. It is the home ground of WP Rugby and the DHL Stormers (since 2021), Premier Soccer League clubs Cape Town Spurs (since 2010) and Cape Town City (since 2016). It has also hosted the South Africa Sevens rugby tournament since 2015 and hosted the Rugby 7s World Cup in 2022.

The stadium is located in Green Point, between Signal Hill and the Atlantic Ocean, close to the Cape Town city center and to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, a popular tourist and shopping venue. The stadium had a seating capacity of 64,100 during the 2010 World Cup, later reduced to 58,309.[5] The stadium is connected to the waterfront by a new road connection, Granger Bay Boulevard. Cape Town Stadium is the fifth biggest stadium in South Africa and the biggest in Cape Town.

During construction, Cape Town Stadium was unofficially known as Green Point Stadium, the name of an older stadium adjacent to it that was partially demolished and rebuilt into the Green Point Athletics Stadium. During October 2009, the city asked for the public to propose names for the new stadium and the name Cape Town Stadium was chosen.

With effect from June 2021, the City of Cape Town as owner of the stadium, through a municipal entity, concluded a multi-year sponsorship agreement with DHL for a period of four years, from 2021 to 2025. It included renaming the stadium to the DHL Stadium.

In this regard, Peter-John Veldhuizen, chairperson of the Board of the Cape Town Stadium (RF) Soc Ltd said: "DHL’s contribution as our naming rights partner has certainly made a significant impact on the bottom line of the business". As a result, in 2022–2022 the revenue target was exceeded by 30% and the grant funding from the City of Cape Town was reduced from R61m to R42m.

Here we see, Sciurus Carolinensis (Eastern Gray Squirrel or Grey Squirrel), a tree squirrel native to North America and first introduced to the UK in the 1870's. Though it was largely responsible for the decimation of our own native red squirrel population, those are now on the increase and found in certain parts of the UK including Scotland. The Greys are still an ecologically essential natural forester regenerator.

The beautiful and historic old pier in Hastings, East Sussex, England, was destroyed completely by a devastating fire on Tuesday 5 October 2010. Like many of a certain generation, in those flames went the memories of my childhood and youth, simpler days when the world was a nicer place and people less angry and unforgiving.

Little did I know that when this photograph was taken, at an altitude of Three metres at 10:10am on Sunday June 20th 20110, off Eversfield Place A259 past the White Rock Theatre, they would be my last ever photographs of this iconic landmark. Less than four months later she was gone.

The pier was designed by Eugenius Birch and spanned 910 feet in length with a maximum width of 190 feet. Her prime was in the 1930's.

nationalzoo.si.edu/news/smithsonians-national-zoo-and-con...

Last sunday, once again I went with bird-guru Michel Geven on Kingfisher 'hunt'. The man is incredible. He's like a bird-whisperer. Not only does he find them all, but he also captures them in the most wonderful (and skilled) way. Don't know about you guys, but it sometimes feels as if I'm the laughing-stock of birdworld; there's a collective agreement that as soon as I stick my head around the corner, they fly.. With Michel, the birds seem mezmerized and stay where they are, allowing him one gorgeous shot after another.

This sunday, Michel had set up the hide near a nest and apart from having a really good time talking about our upcoming trip to Iceland (we leave next friday), we were able to get some good shots. As always, when I come back, Hans has to sit through at least half an hour of enthusiasm... Meanwhile he's really good at nodding and murmering something approving at the right moments :-).

While doing this, outside on our terrasse, something caught my eye: a blue flash. At first I thought that I must be hallucinating (Kingfisher overdose?) because our house is located in forest area, not wet area. Then all of a sudden I heard a familiar sound; it really was a Kingfisher! We have a rather large pond right next to our house. Last year when Hans cut the trees in shape, he left one small tree standing next to that pond and he left one horizontal branch on it figuring it would be a nice bird look-out. And there he was, our very own Kingfisher, sitting on that particular branch!!

I nearly got a heart attack when next thing I knew, the bird took a dive in the pond, came out with a fish and started smashing it on the branch to kill it. After doing so, he flew off, only to return in 5 minutes. This went on for a couple of times. Meanwhile I had taken a dive in the shed; got out my hide and threw it over the bench that stands next to the pond.

Took hundreds of shots and although lovely ones, they lacked a bit of sharpness and definition because it's a tiny bird and I was just a thatch too far away. (and as you know, my sun hood is still on the bottom of the Biesbosch :-( and with the backlight, I got a bit of a haze over the pictures) So I relocated the hide to the edge of the pond, hoping that the Kingfisher would get used to it. Every day, directly after work much to the amusement of Hans, I ran to my hide, installed myself with a glass of wine and waited. But there was a problem with my set-up. Every time the Kingfisher came, my two dogs Pandour and Kookaï came looking what was going on. Which obviously didn't help. Solved the problem by letting the dogs inside the hide. Bit crowded but very cosy! :-)

The stationary shots were already good but my mission was to get a sharp shot of the Kingfisher smashing a fish and although I came close, the bird moves só fast that it's almost impossible to get that right especially since he invariably only comes when the light already begins to fade. But I'm really happy with the results so far. I will keep on trying but unfortunately the Kingfisher's visits are less now, yesterday and today none. But the hide is still standing, so I'm hoping on one or two more good shots this week.

I am reposting this message and creation from my December 2019 post

Although this was written in 2019 I knew something big was going to take place on earth in the months ahead.

It is as relevant today as it was back in 2019 because it relates to today in 2021

I underestimated the severity of this message. In saying this I was extremely unsettled for many months and prayed as I knew something was going to happen but I did not know exactly what.

I had endured many months of suffering knowing. Through this process things became crystal clear to me and with that an understanding of the higher picture and ultimately a sense of surrendering to 'what is' and a sense of Peace and Calm came with this, along with so much gratitude for being guided and shown. A blessing and a curse

To add to this, many souls have sacrificed themselves - knowingly and unknowingly to wake up humanity.

We can never know the soul agreement that each of us has made when we birthed into this world.

I am eternally grateful to the many souls who have endured hell on earth, lost their lives to awaken the masses to the reality of this world.

There are many people at this time on earth who are struggling with all that is happening in our world.

I was guided with this message and design back in 2019 - it started many months before it was completed by December of that year.

I hope that this message will bring some understanding and comfort to anyone who is struggling right now.

Despite her name Black Winged Goddess, she does bring a message of Hope and Unity to humanity.

We are living in times of great destruction of the world as we know it, earth changes, fires, floods, earthquakes.

Here alone in Australia we sit in horror at the extent of the fires rampage across the country. Unprecedented fires and weather in the history of our existence (well what is on record)

Whilst horrific - the earth we live on has always been full of cyclic changes.

Ancient cities have been discovered under the sea, we are naive to think that the world as we know it will remain the same.

What continents exist now may no longer exist. What coastline exists now is slowly being swallowed up by the ocean.

Volcanic eruptions are changing the face of the planet as are earthquakes - the list is long.

We cannot stop the force of Mother Nature. We live on a planet that has always endured such destruction.

We have pole shifts taking place - all kinds of catastrophic events happening across the Globe. We are but a spit in the ocean to the wide Galaxies that we know of. Yet we think we are precious in some way.

I cannot help but wonder why I was so drawn to create this "Black Winged Goddess" let alone give her the name of Black Winged Goddess. But I was drawn, my soul was pushing me for weeks with a "slight vision" of what I needed to create. It now makes total sense to me why I was so drawn to create The Black Winged Goddess, given the state of our world and humanity.

My soul as always when I listen guides me with powerful messages and reminds me to just 'be' to accept 'what is'.

We may not like the current state of our world, but it is what it is and all we can do is stay strong within ourselves and hold the power of 'love' in our hearts despite seeing so much being played out on the planet.

Kali (Hindu) - was known as a deity of the Fearsome Demon destroying Goddess who represents death and rebirth - so her name means "Black One".

We can never truly comprehend or understand the power of mother nature - we have abused her for centuries, taken her for granted and she is a living breathing consciousness so powerful that we dare not go up against here.

In recent years we have seen the influence of the feminine energy on earth which for eons has been dominated by the male energy.

So it makes complete sense to me that we are witness to so much destruction on the planet.

We are witness to the destruction of our societies as we know it, breakdown of families, law, politics.

So much of humanity is at war with the 'system', the injustices, and the lack of balance within our society. The homeless, the abused, the forgotten souls, the mental health issues that seem to have become rampant, the rise of Corporate wealth while humanity is trapped in slavery. We have learnt nothing as a humanity over the past how many hundred years?

In order for rebirth, for new growth, a culling needs to take place - hence the energy of the Black Winged Goddess she is both the Destroyer and the Giver of New Life.

We have elected to be here at this time on the planet - despite the suffering we witness or endure - I know at a higher level it is absolutely necessary for real change to take place.

Our world is a very different place to the one we have known - and whilst we have believed we have had a safe and reasonable planet in which to live, the reality is much Evil has existed and people have been brainwashed to the point of being zombies. There has been so much suppression imposed upon humanity even to the extreme of vaccinations and fluoride to our water supply. All of these chemicals act as suppressants to our brain! It has been a deliberate agenda of the existing power on earth. Their agenda has always been to rule, control and suppress the populous.

Humanity is awakening and with this will be uproar, dis - ease, a culling if you like. It is time for humanity to step out of fear and into their true power which is within each and every one of us.

New growth, new beginnings but not before the dismantling of the old - it has to be this way.

These times we are living through were written in history.

So I have created "The Black Winged Goddess" she is available in different styles, inside a Dome with beautiful etched glass or stand alone. She will rotate or can be static.

She is available on MP in the Stand Alone version (rotating) or can be seen in world at my store.

****This POST IS NOT to promote my MP. I will not put my MP link here for this reason. If anyone does not have the money and would like a version of her please send me a notecard in world with your full name and I will happily send one to you. This is NOT about promoting my MP it is about assisting humanity at this time***.

I hope you enjoy and embrace 'The "Black Winged Goddess' and rather be in fear of her - understand she brings 'New Life" but first the old has to die for the new to be born.

How appropriate for a New Year of 2020 fast approaching.

Interestingly and unconsciously I created 4 of these Black Winged Goddesses.

The year 2020 equates to the number 4 in Numerology.

The #4 represents a Universal energy. (see below for a deeper understanding of the #4)

The # 2 - Is the most feminine and often underestimated when it comes to power and strength. She is always gentle, tactful, diplomatic, forgiving and understanding. She likes to keep peace and likes to avoid confrontation. # 2 is the survivor and extremely resilient force. Her shape looks as though she is bent back on a knee with head bowed in humility and service. However when enough pressure is applied to the # 2 energy. Some would perceive her as weak and powerless due to this servitude shape. However never underestimate the power behind #2 because she represents the power (double) #1 who is the all powerful warrior who will shake and destroy no matter what. So #2 brings the balance but never underestimate the power of 2 Energy.

The #4 Energy in more detail

The 4 is without a doubt masculine, reflecting strength and stability. His chief characteristics are dependability, productivity, punctuality and obedience. He is trustworthy, patient, conventional and a traditionalist.

Tend to be rule followers. 4 is the area of sciences, upholding the law (such as Government and the military). The #4 represents Disciplined, systematic, Dependable, Strong. Loyal

Four is the basis of all solid objects. Four points are used in constructing the simplest solid and thus four is the number symbolizing the way of construction. In many religions, four is seen as the number for earth, and representing the four elements, Air Earth, Water and Fire.

At its extreme 4's can tend to overreact to violence.

So 2020 seems to have more challenges ahead and I suspect we will be seeing more uprising across the planet (#2 energy) with totalitarianism (#4 energy) being played out like never before. Perhaps more of what the world has witnessed in Hong Kong this year.

It is as if the two energies Masculine & Feminine are battling against one another. But at the same time, I cannot help but feel and acknowledge UNITY - and this is what I will remain focused upon during the year ahead. We must stand united. We are after all 'one humanity'

We are without doubt living in very challenging times.

May peace be with you!

Please share with anyone who you believe may take some comfort during these days - not because I want awards, in fact I do not want awards. This is for humanity and was given to me through the Grace of God

This post is NOT about promoting my MP - she is available there for anyone who wants to purchase her. For anyone who truly feels drawn to her and the strength and comfort she brings to me, and do not have the money to purchase her.

ENGLISH : To start this day I order a light break StarBuck near the central station. Here is a noodle of impeccable costumed armed laptops lit, several Smartphone in hand and tablets in stand by ... all connected to each table. The atmosphere is so studious that it seems coldly prison. I shoot! A little later I am in front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where, alone, a man shouts loudly his disagreement on hypothetical Sino-Japanese agreements. Further afield I discover the popular district of Akasaka then further west, the beautiful and bewitching Aoyama cemetery that I wanted so much "to approach". Place where the burials rise high, like the buildings of the city which are raised in front of the distance. An architectural grammar where living and dead would have the same erectile impulses. I lunch later at the BoBo of Harajuku where baby dolls suck their salted fingers of takeaway before going to lose me in the park of the Meiji temple Jingu where I find a collection of vintage barrels of the most beautiful Burgundy of France! At the end of the day I finally plunge into Shibuya where the effervescence of the crowds is organized like fashion line bees around electrifying hives. This day was so dense, so exhausting that I will return early in the night to my hotel for a well deserved rest.

The signing of an agreement on 29th June 2016 by the CEO of PKP Cargo and representatives of the Wielkopolska region and Wolsztyn town heralds a new beginning for steam traction based at the Wolsztyn roundhouse, possibly leading to the return of scheduled steam-hauled passenger services. Whatever the format of such services would be will be revealed in time, but this is certainly a positive step in the right direction. Any news update from Polish Flickr members would be appreciated. Looking back to 2nd December 2013, at a time when scheduled 'commuter services' were about to be transferred from the Poznan to Leszno line, Ol49-59 storms away from Szreniawa just before sunset heading the 13:32 (train 77331) Wolsztyn to Poznan service. The two coach trailing load was no serious task for an 'Ol49' class 2-6-2, but the passenger services between Wolsztyn and Poznan, even with a slackened timetable towards the end, required lively departures for the loco from the sixteen intermediate station stops along the route.

The lesser white-fronted goose is considered an endangered species, but there are programmes to reintroduce animals into the wild to strengthen the population. Additionally it is one of the species to which the Agreement on the Conservation of African-Eurasian Migratory Waterbirds (AEWA) applies.

This genetically distinct population is now estimated at about 20 breeding pairs or 60–80 total individuals at most. They breed in Northern Norway and overwinter in Greece, Bulgaria and Turkey. There is a major stopover site at Hortobágy National Park, Hungary where the birds spend up to two months during autumn and one month during the spring migration.

Uhanalaisin arktinen hanhilaji.

1900-luvun alussa Pohjoismaissa pesi tuhansia kiljuhanhipareja, nykyisin pesiviä pareja on jäljellä alle 15. Laji rauhoitettiin Suomessa 1969. WWF:llä on kiljuhanhityöryhmä.

Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) avoided war at all costs, he strove to bring about a peace agreement between Muslims and the Makkans.

After great efforts on his part, the non-Muslims agreed to the finalizing of a 10-year peace treaty, which was drafted and signed at Al-Hudaybiyyah.

Special:

- The Mini (ADO15) was designed by Sir Alec Issigonis (who also designed the Morris Minor over 10 years earlier) and is generally considered one of the most important milestones in automotive history.

- Based on the 2-door Mini John Cooper (racecar constructor of Formula 500, Formula 3 and Formula 1 cars and a friend of Sir Alec Issigonis) developed a sporty model: the Mini Cooper.

- In Italy in the years 60-70 it often was too expensive, due to high import duties, to purchase an imported car, so that most Italians opted for an Italian car. BMC England signed an agreement with Innocenti Milan (famous for the production of Lambretta) and from 1965 Innocenti was allowed to built the Mini 850 for the Italian market. Since 1971, the Mini Cooper was also built under license.

- It is equipped with a unique "Hydrolastic" shock absorption system, invented by famous British rubber engineer Alex Moulton, in which the various fluid-filled shock absorbers, by means of conduits, are in communication with each other.

- The Innocenti was faster and more luxurious (interior with more accessories and better finished) than the British Mini and nowadays very popular in the USA, Canada and Europe.

- Many details of internal and external were produced by Italian brands (IPRA for the radiators, Carello and Altissimo for the headlights), so especially for the Innocenti Mini Cooper 1300 spare parts are hard to find.

20/365

I started this 365 yesterday and I'm already on day 20, ahaha.

Today I went into the city to meet up with Sarah (check out her stream!) and her sister Bella!

We had so much fun (despite the heat :P) photographing each other and shopping. Sarah and Bella also modeled in an editorial for me! They are so gorgeous and cute. I love them both ♥

Kanku-Breakaways Conservation Park covers almost 15,000 hectares featuring majestic arid scenery, comprising spectacular weathered sedimentary rock formations, which have arisen over millions of years from water and wind erosion of what was originally a shallow inland sea.

The shapes which could be mistaken for human-created mounds of sand are in fact natural outcomes of long-term erosion by water and air.

The park is located in the central arid desert area of South Australia, about 25 kms from the opal mining town of Coober Pedy, about 800 kms North of the state capital of Adelaide and 700 km South of Alice Springs.

The area is home to almost 60 native flora species including acacias, mallee and eremophilia. It is also home to a variety of wildlife, including red kangaroos, euro, echidna, numerous bird species and the fat-tailed dunnart (a mouse-like marsupial).

The Kanku-Breakaways Conservation Park forms part of the traditional country of the Antakirinja Matuntjara Yankunytjatjara people. It is owned by Antakirinja Matu-Yankunytjatjara Aboriginal Corporation (AMYAC). The park is under a unique co-management agreement between the AMYAC, District Council of Coober Pedy and Department for Environment and Water (DEW).

Synchronized swimming always fascinated me, every since I was a child. How it was performed, just seemed so inconceivable to me. I always thought about how much pressure it must be to not mess anything up. I know there are many sports with similar pressures, but I remember how stunned I always was when I saw these teams compete.

And this amazement was my inspiration for this image.
