This is a mock-wrap, asymmetric suit dress that I made using a vintage Simplicity #1353 pattern, year 1955. I did all the finishing and edge stitching by hand, and lined the entire dress for warmth and comfort. I was inspired to make this dress after seeing the dusty blue suit worn by Marvel's Agent Peggy Carter in the movie, "Captain America: Winter Soldier". The event honored this year’s nominees with a certification and launched the FIDM Museum’s Ninth Annual Outstanding Art of Television Costume Design Exhibition.

The free-to-the-public exhibition will be held in downtown Los Angeles at the FIDM Museum & Galleries at FIDM/Fashion Institute Design & Merchandising and runs from Tuesday, July 21, 2015 through Saturday, September 26, 2015. Museum hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
