今回もお友達の記念撮影。
今回の場所は以前から試したかったウルダハ内部の吹き抜けの上部部分。植物を照明がすごく綺麗な所だ。
いざ撮影を始めると目のやり場に困る格好に。しかしミコッテはスタイルいいから似合ってるな！ララフェルじゃこうはいかない。
撮影後は楽しくおしゃべりなどしながらファッションショーをして遊んだりした。
隕石のことなど忘れてしまうくらい楽しいひとときだった。
しかしこの写真がエオルゼアでの最後の1枚になるとは。
しかしこの写真をこうやって紹介しているということは少なからず死んではいないようだ。自分がどういう状態なのかすら分からないが意識はっきりしている。
いつかまたこの足で大地を踏みしめ撮影に精を出す日が戻ってくることを祈って最後のメッセージとする。

The genesis of this concept was an event from my childhood where I watched a tiny speck high in the sky slowly descend, finally revealing itself to be a black umbrella which landed a few streets away with children chasing it. (In those days kids played outside on the street) It was a hot, windy and very dusty day and I presume the umbrella got so high from a large whirlwind which finally released it.

どんよりとした雲が立ち込める早朝のクルザス、そこで剣の稽古をしているナイトさんと出合った。
なにやらリンクシェルにちょんまげ鬼教官がいるらしく、その人の鼻を開かせてやろうと毎朝練習に励んでいるらしい。
練習らしく格好はラフで、鎧は着ておらず水着を着ていてとてもスポーティーだ。
水着と鎧の組み合わせ、なかなかステキだなぁ

紅の樹帯のすぐ近く、小さな広場でモーグリを見つけた。3匹で何をしているのだろうか。話しかけてもいまいち反応もない。誰かを待っているのだろうか。
そこに数人の冒険者がやってきてモーグリたちに案内されて森の奥へ。わたしも着いていこうとしたら引き止められた。なんでだ・・。
しばらくすると冒険者達が傷だらけになって戻ってきた。そして凄く悔しそうだった。
一体この奥で何が行われているのだろう・・・。

A time lapsed video from the Lake Shore Drive overpass at McCormick Place in Chicago Illinois as the sun is setting and a game is starting at Soldier Field.
I photograph here often and i decided i wanted to do a video of the cars speeding past as the skyline changes from dusk to night and all the lights pop on in the city.

最近は友人からの撮影依頼ラッシュが続いているのだが、今回も同じケース。
ナイトと吟遊詩人の友人がかっこよくジョブ装備でまとめて現れてきた。さすが女の子。オシャレには常に気を使ってるんだろうな。
わたしも頑張って綺麗に撮ってあげなくちゃ！
ライティングのよさげな場所を探していざ撮影、その瞬間彼女たちが突然着替えだした。
もう目の前で何が起こってるのか理解できなかった。
誰だか認識もできないほどの鎧に身を包み、そいつらが必死に可愛さをアピールしている。
右の人なんて首曲がってないし・・
こんなご時世なのに危機感ゼロもいいところ、今まで悩んできたわたしがバカみたいじゃないか。
凄いなモンスター達は。今はこんなのと戦ってるのか・・。
もしかしてこれ着てれば助かる？
わたしも着たほうがいいのかな・・？

Wip on a custom Anakin Skywalker minifig. Had to flip the hair piece horizontally in photoshop since the actual piece is parted to the right rather than the left.
Did this back when I used to do machinima. In this screencap the camera had shifted focus from the Spartan wearing the EOD helmet to the Spartan wearing the Operator helmet to the left.

J'ouvert is party time starting in the early morning before the day of Lent, the day of the primary celebration of Carnival. Participants usually start about 4AM and last a couple hours after sunrise where they relish in spreading mud upon each other while partaking in copious drink. This picture illustrates the aftereffects.
My first end to end timelapse, I was in Paris in January and decided to try to shoot some frames, unfortunately I only had a a #Gorillapod with me, the footage was shot on my #canon #5d2 and a #650d, which i borrowed from a buddy of mine; so i got some shaky footage which my old minimac from late 2011 can t handle stabilising :( (already tried tracking for a whole night and it froze my computer without any other tasks running besides aftereffects).
Will definitely reedit this as soon as my iMac 5k arrives (hopefully next Santa :) and will stabilise and add motion effects and correct all the obvious mistakes, what i couldn't even hope to on my oldies but goldies minimac.

Once again, I'm not going to confirm that I will make cartoons - I would use AfterEffects or similar, but it's quite expensive...
If you know of a free animating program (like AfterEffects) which could be used for virtual puppet show animation, please let me know :D

A Promo/commercial I did for the 'Livestock Niagara' Music Festival at Taps on Queen, Downtown Niagara Falls. I made two a 60 second & a 30 second, the 30 second is the one we went with. It's been released of the social media streams for the festival and may appear on the local cable channel in the community events section. It's still fun to see your stuff on TV, even if it's local cable access. Now I need to find someone that still has cable.

a new year means a new approach. so i made an "ad" for myself.
the idea was to represent the idea of experience with images.
and i had a few PSD files i had been wanting to animate for awhile,so i spent the better
part of a week off and on making this. everything was originally created by myself.it looks awesome in HD and full screen,so if you can see it that way,you should.

グリダニアで久々に友人に会った。
しかしなにやら浮かない表情。
隕石騒動真っ只中だしどこに逃げようか考えでもでるのかな。
一緒に逃げる場所探そうと言おうとしたそのとき、
「あれが落ちてきたら食べ物はどうなるにゃ！海の幸串焼、森の幸串焼、エフトステーキ、ローストドードー、フライドエッグ、イールパイ、サーモンムニエル、マトンシチュー、シュトレン・・数え切れないにゃ！どうしてくれるにゃ！」
・・しらん、そんなこと言われても。
食べ物のことしか考えてなかった。なんという神経の図太さ。きっと彼女は生き延びるだろう。
なんとなくそんな気がした。

現在のエオルゼアは以前よりも他部族との交流が盛んになっている。
いままであまり見ることのなかった種族を街中で見かけることもよくある。
このマムージャ族なんて一体どこからやってきたのだろうか。
このような蛮族たちは基本的に好戦的な者たちが多いが、街中で見る者はとても社交的でいい人達が多い。
このマムージャ族も話してみるといい人だが、大きな声じゃ言えないけどやっぱり見た目は怖いよね・・

今回はグリダニア、木工ギルド前にて友人を撮影。
しかし服装を見るとなにやら薄汚れて若干痛んでいる作業着を着ている。
それを指摘すると、その服は冒険者になって間もない頃、仲間に作ってもらった大切な服なのだそうだ。それがきっかけで自身も木工職人を目指そうと決めたらしい。
当時は毎日これを着ていたらしい。今は着ることはないが、今回の撮影のために久々に袖を通したそうだ。
以前木工ギルド内を撮影させてもらったことがあるが、職人さん一人一人にきちんとドラマがあるのだろう。写真一枚撮るにしてもそういうことまで伝えられるようなものを撮りたい。
この世界がどうなってしまうか分からないけど、これからもそういう人間臭い写真を撮っていきたいな。

これまでは絶望や混乱しか感じられなかったあの物体も、今回はそれらを通り越してとても清々しい気持ちになっている。とうとう気が狂ってきたのかもしれない。
しかし綺麗だ。飛空挺とドラゴンのシルエットが終末を歓迎しているかのようだ。
長い歴史の中でこの結末もおこるべくして起こったかのように感じる。
ここまで絶望的な情景を目にすると、もう死んでもいいのかなってきにもなってきてしまう。
でもまた街に戻って戸惑う人々の中に紛れると自分も元に戻ってしまうんだろうな。

紅の樹帯の周辺にはトレントが群がっている。
「森の守り神」なんて聞くと1体神様みたいなのがいるのかと思いきや、あまりにも沢山いるので拍子抜けしてしまう。
しかしあなどることなかれ、目は退化してほとんど機能していないようだが、少しでも音を立てれば見つかって制裁を食らってしまう。我々人間などひとたまりもない。
しかしごく稀に、大人数で徒党を組み、投石しまくって倒してしまう集団もいると聞く。大した見返りもないのに物好きな人達だ。よっぽど暇だったんだろう。
よい子のみんなは決して近づかない方がいいだろう。

謎の隕石に慌てふためいてる最中、更に追い討ちをかけるように、また訳の分からないものが現れた。
突如我々の前に姿を現した謎の物体。
以前はただ宙に浮いているだけで特に被害を受けていた様子は無かったが、先日突如としてモンスターを呼び寄せたり、直接我々を攻撃するようになった。
あの口のようなものの中は一体どこに繋がっているのだろう。
全く違う世界に飛べたりして・・
もしそうだったらこの世界で死ぬくらいならいっそのこと口の中に飛び込んでみてもいいかも・・

グリダニアのすぐ近くにひっそりと存在している広場。そしてその中央にはとても大きな切り株がある。
そしてその切り口をよく見てみると、幾何学状に色の付いた小石が並んでいる。
これは誰が何のために作ったものなのだろうか。儀式でもやるのかな？
ちょっと触れてみたい気もするが、祟られたら嫌なのでやめておこう。
