"Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower."

Sunshine Coast artist Kris Martin works with the North Burnett, Fraser Coast, Bundaberg and Lower Gladstone regions - sharing his weaving with catsclaw skills and creating a large scale woven sculpture in consultation with and alongside each community.

They are thinking they might get away soon.

As part of the Afloat recovery project, ephemeral public artist Sue Berry joined with communities in the Bundaberg Region to create temporary public artworks using items that workshop participants brought along placed with objects found in the area. These footprints symbolicaly connected the communities together and enabled people to discuss their experiences with the 2010/2011 floods through art and community building.

& Has Got Neglected over the Years.. . But still offers a little bit of Autumn Colour =)

Hidden away directly next to a Motorway, also.

Saving more leaves, etc., sorry for so many, no need to comment, still more to come. :-) Just enjoying capturing the many types of leaves, colors and textures of Autumn before it leaves us.

i purchased this little treasure a few years ago on eBay. there were actually 2 of them in the auction, so i gave one to my mom for Mother's Day that year.

the opals are actually free "floating" in the glass pendant. if i had to guess, i believe the liquid is oil, because the bubble and the opal shards move slowly through it.

i love this little thing so much! but i'm scared to make a necklace out of it... so it's hidden away safely. ^_^

But why do they need a wheelbarrow?

After our first event was ironically washed out - the Afloat team and the Bundaberg community rallied to pull together an amazing night of memories and tributes to all those who helped us and continue to help us following the recent natural disasters. Special thanks to the Bundaberg Regional Council for their kindly donating the use of the Moncrieff.

Down at the lake tonight after work. It was getting rather dark so converted most of these to b/w to cope with the noise!

Shot from a beach in the Dominican Republic.

Two Flounders and a Spotted Sea Trout. Fabulousness. :)

The hours of prep and loading and sweating as we clean out mildew and hornets and attempt to get underway without killing each other make us think we are insane. But then the hours of fishing, playing crazy eights by glow-stick light and watching the sunset and sunrise from a hammock rigged to the mainsail make it all worthwhile. It's ok to be a little insane, I guess.
