Today is the first day of my DIY 2-day detox. I am using the digestive cleansing kit of Dr. Jason Penaranda of Aesthetic Science. He suggested that I don't do any strenuous activities during the 2-day period and so I decided to stay at home and read a book.

Nina Garcia's Look Book is very helpful not only if you need to know which outfit is appropriate for specific occasions, it also gives tips on life, career, social graces and love. I'm hooked on this book :)

Generally, the benefits of detox are for general health, weight loss and to help combat other illness. I ate a lot of stuff during the holidays, and New Year is always the best time to detox :)
