aeroshell aerobatic team, flying north american at-6 texans at the 2016 melbourne air show.
not my usual subject material, but i do like the sense of speed and movement here. and these high-performance, 1940s-era advanced training aircraft were fun to watch, particularly when piloted so expertly by this fantastic aerobatic team.
my first ever air show. and a night show at that.

This team really puts on a colorful show and is fun to watch. Remember to shoot fast for the beginning of the show because they will fill the sky with their smoke and make clear pictures impossible. Unless you have good winds of course.

Another shot from the Chicago Air & Water Show 2011 as seen from the Hancock. This was the Aeroshell Acrobatic Team wowing the crowd. I have more luck with wide shots like this than using the zoom. There were also problems with reflections on the glass. But it was fun although we had to stand on our spot for almost 6 hours and not leave or move as others will just move in right away.
