My mood - Tune

I hope we meet again

After it all

If only time could bend

I'd go back to the start

If I could, I'd do it over again

Mm

'Cause time could

Growin' old with my friend

Mm

And we'd be layin' there

Your hand in my hand

I'll look at you

And see the memories we had

And the words I'd choose

For my final breath

Will be, "I love you"

Do you remember me

From lifetimes before?

It feels like eternity

But I want more...

Heimflug

Loch Clair looking towards the magnificent Liathach. 5 bracketed shots.

A murky morning in Torridon turned into a glorious day of patchy clouds and sunshine. The wind had dropped considerably overnight allowing for some nice reflections and the chance to get the drone up.

Another drone image from this gorgeous area taking in Beinn Eighe and Liathach this time with the early morning light casting some beautiful light on the pines.

I also got to meet Callum the stag in the Beinn Eighe car park. He was very interested in my bacon butties poking his head in the van and having a good sniff.

If you're not sure about Callum then here's a YT vid of him. Quite the character.

Last one from here for now and a a little further back using the drone.

On the west side of the village Vleuten is the ancient Ham-tower on an island in a canal. This seven-story donjon is the remnant of a water castle, knight-hof city of Ham. For the first time in a document from 1325 mentioned castle was initially built as a residential tower. It is suspected that it was built around 1260 which was strategically chosen for an inlet of the old Rhine river as it became more defensible. The castle was able to exercise the owner power of the surroundings. Several cases were Den Ham deployment of battle. In 1481 it was partially destroyed, then it was expanded to include a second tower. In 1536 the States of Utrecht recognized the castle as knight-hof city, the residents were then admitted to the Knighthood. In 1642 the gatehouse was rebuilt giving access to Den Ham. In 1857 the castle was owned by Willem Jan Royaards. One of the current owners is a descendant of him.

Around 1872 the castle wrong in dilapidated condition and was, at the western keep and part of the east wing after aborted. Between 1962 and 1975 the tower was restored. Today the tower is private property. The moated tower has five feet thick brick walls about 27 meters high. On top is applied include a bypass and the total height is approximately 35 meters. Inside, it has six floors and a basement with medieval girders are preserved.

When you have enough money € 1.900.000,-

With no low cloud forecast on most of the apps I use I had an early start yesterday and headed for Talacre. The storm to the left is out over the wind farm in Liverpool Bay.

After several days of being questioned like you were about to dump some illegally imported weapons grade plutonium at the local recycling centre I had a pleasant hour alone on the beach before cracking on with the creosoting. What joyous fun that job is!

The song is from Air and is called All I Need and it's what I was listening to at the time.

Lyrics and band name both seemed apt to me.

Looking directly West across North Wales from dock side in Connah's Quay.

The River Dee on an incoming tide, The Flintshire Bridge, Connah's Quay power station and beyond to sunnier climes. The old coast road. Imagine what that road would be like now if the A55 wasn't there!

The suburbs of Frankfurt, Germany.

Took this shot shortly before the final approach to Runway 07 of FRA (Airport code for Frankfurt International Airport - Germany).

Bank hoilday I was expecting people everwhere but other than two togs up near Elterwater there was no one around. Got the drone up for a few minutes to capture the mist on The Brathay and over Elterwater.

Incoming tide and I'd already got the shots of the lighthouse so had a play with the drone.

A little nervous as to fit the scene in of the docks with the drone meant it being very low. Only 150 feet from the shoreline but 15ft from sea level. Alex Ferguson used to call it twitchy bum time and it was here for me.

I borrowed the drone from my boyfriend. I really love drone shots because of the special perspective. Those shots are so unusual and therefore very interesting. But at the same time taking photos with a drone is very High-tec. I prefer the classic photography with a Click instead of a touch screen and looking through the lense instead of staring on a Screen. What do you think about drones?

The rooftops of Rosenwiller, Alsace including Notre Dame de l'Assomption Church.

Jewish cemetery in upper left (one of the largest & oldest Jewish cemeteries in Alsace).

Mt. St. Helens in the foreground and Mt. Adams in upper left corner.

I always love it when flying from Seattle to home, the pilot takes us close to St Helens and I can get a good shot from the air I lucked out and it wasn't a full flight and i had two seats to myself. Love when that happens.

New Brighton.

Sunrise is just a little too early at the moment but finding the light is still quite nice for the hour or two after. Still three of us on the beach though. A guy from Birmingham and one from Rhyl, both there early for the first visit of the brand spanking new Viking Venus cruise liner in to Liverpool. Her maiden voyage.

I stayed around to watch it come in. Not huge, but still 47842 te holding 930 passengers I was enthusiastically informed.

I was told about the entertainment onboard, the decks, the cabins, the engines, which shipyard built it, where it is registered, how many knots it could do at full pelt, how many litres of paint were used, the passenger to space ratio.....

I left them in peace when one of them got a carton of milk out and started to tell me about the owner of Tetra Pak....

An aerial view as we approached Dublin's airport.

I went back to this beautiful waterfall, hoping to do better this time around. Compare it to the earlier version here: www.flickr.com/photos/191527500@N08/52260108135/in/datepo.... What do you think?

No.. it's not a drone shot. This was taken from a Boeing 737 - hence the slight discolouration, as it flew at around 6000 ft over Killiney on the way back from Malta. My house is there somewhere near the hill. On the far right is Dalkey Island and out side that is the Muglins Light. The harbour area is Dun Laoire one of the largest man made harbours in the world built from granite from Dalkey quarry. The ships are waiting in Dublin Bay for pilots to take them to Dublin port, the entrance to which is on the left of the image. Across the Bay is the head land of Howth and the Baily lighthouse. Outside of Howth are to islands Lambay Island and Ireland's Eye. The coast line further north of Dublin are the towns of Drogheda and Dundalk. We were heading out to sea for our approach to Dublin Airport.

Crystal clear morning along the Slana Slough at the foot of the Mentasta Mountains. 17°F this morning (-8°C). Ice has formed in the margins of the still water, and fresh snow graces the peaks.

Slana Slough is dotted with boggy islands, and permafrost keeps the water from percolating out.

Grass with some frosted trees at the east end of Riffe Lake near what was once the town of Kosmos, Washington.

Low cloud all day put paid to the view over to Langdale and Wetherlam so I finally got the drone out for what seems like an age.
