“I wish more people felt that photography was an adventure the same as life itself and felt that their individual feelings were worth expressing. To me, that makes photography more exciting.”

The husband, daughter, and I went for an outdoor adventure yesterday. We had a theme for the day that involved the fourth member of our party: a hickory nut. The concept was simple: The nut had to stay with us from beginning to end, be kept in someone's hand to be kept warm, and should be included in the photos taken throughout the day. So here are the highlights from our day out on The Nut Adventure.

Romeo's always ready for another adventure.
Taken at Seacrest Park in West Seattle, Washington.
Hiking at the Gold Mint trail in Hatchers pass. So many side trails. So many possibilities for new adventures.
Sometimes, you just have to enjoy the big adventures in life. We took Carl to Walt DIsney World for a big adventure. On this particular morning, we took Carl to Epcot and had a magical time.
"Thanks for the adventure. Now go have a new one." - Ellie
The Mrs + kids purchased this for The Mr last year for his birthday (shhhhh.....don't tell The Mr, but The Mrs thinks Bennet is a lot like Carl LOL)!

Last year I began building MOCs for the 'Adventures' series after a friend showed me some of his, so I thought I'd join in. Among the builds that follow Johnny Thunder, and fellow Adventurers, I have looked upon the various parts of the series, including; Desert, Jungle and Orient Expedition. There are more in my collection that remain hidden from Flickr, in that some are on my Instagram, www.instagram.com/joycie_mocs/, or are yet to have photos uploaded.
The steamboat was a build that began last year iand continued to grow as I was lucky enough at my local PaB Wall to find slopes for the hull and tiles for the deck. The model is mainly based of a 1920s era steamboard for smaller water ways, as Johnny Thunder would explore in his Orient Expedition.
Wow...! What a wonderful addition to Christchurch - The Christchurch Adventure Park - and it is less than 10 minutes down the road from us. The chairlift is the longest in New Zealand at 1.8 kms - a fantastic ride even for sightseers.
Mike and I aren’t into adrenaline adventures. We prefer the calmer, quiet ones like hiking, paddling a canoe, riding our bikes, and seeing new sights. Really, any time spent outdoors is what we love!

A fantasy adventure where Lord of the Rings sort of meets Game of Thrones. The Snow Guardian is just too cool to be left out.
And yes I am double dipping for Nerdvemeber and Brickscalibur, Frozen wilds category.
I'm really happy about this LEGO creation and I also managed to add a couple of NPUs. The dragon was inspired by the horse battle helmet and i manage to add in some lightsaber and a sausage. I am quite happy also about the tree made with rifle and gun.

"with the ground far below you and breathtaking scenery all around, walk out onto the sturdy 84 square metres Adventure Net for an experience unlike any other. Suspended above the centre of the (spiral) tower, you'll have uninterrupted views of the lush arbutus forest and the spiralling structure beneath your feet" (from Malahat Skywalk website)
