This mini quilt has a lot of firsts for me. These blocks were my 1st time sewing together a paper pieced block. They were also designed by me. I'm guessing they might have come out better with some more practice, but I though, 'what the heck?!?'. This is my 1st mini quilt. And it's my 1st quilt entry in a contest. It's all very exciting. I had bigger plans for the quilt but ran out of time. So there's definitely more 'Algebraic' fun to come.

Personally I think "creative mode" in Minecraft is cheating a bit, but it can lead to some interesting things, such as this giant sculpture of FINN (from the show Adventure Time), created by my daughter. Talk about worlds colliding!

Twelve-year-old Finn battles evil in the Land of Ooo. Assisted by his magical dog, Jake, Finn roams the Land of Ooo righting wrongs and battling evil.
