Madrid, 30 de abril de 2018.- Madrid ha acogido por tercer año consecutivo el evento IoT Forum, que se ha celebrado en el Cine Capitol. Aproximadamente 300 profesionales del sector se han congregado en esta edición, en la que además han participado 17 organizaciones compartiendo sus experiencias y presentando sus productos y servicios. El próximo mes de mayo se lanzará la cuarta edición de este encuentro que, año tras año, pretende situar a España en el corazón del mercado del IoT europeo e internacional.

En representación de la Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología (FECYT), Raquel Saiz, Head of Responsible Research and Innovation, ha inaugurado el evento. En su discurso, ha hecho hincapié en la importancia de acercar la ciencia y la innovación a los ciudadanos para que puedan aprovechar todo el potencial de las tecnologías digitales, un objetivo compartido por la Fundación e IoT Madrid Forum.

Daniel Sanz, Business Development en Matooma en España, ha presentado algunos casos de éxito que su compañía ha desarrollado con soluciones de IoT en escenarios “machine to machine” en los que la conectividad era un gran desafío. A continuación, José Antonio Jiménez, Standardization Programme Manager of Electronics and ICT en UNE Asociación Española de Normalización, ha compartido con los asistentes el estado de la estandarización en el área de IoT y las nuevas tecnologías. Por su parte, Galo Montes, Spain Presales Director & IoT CTO en Hewlett Packard Entreprise (HPE), se ha referido al “Renacimiento Digital” que se está dando gracias a Internet de las Cosas, resaltando la vinculación directa entre la transformación digital, la conectividad constante y el análisis en tiempo real de la información.

IoT y emprendimiento

El CEO de IoT Projects, Jean Triquet, además de haber presentado la tercera edición de IoT Madrid Forum y cada ponencia, ha moderado el primer panel del evento. En él han participado emprendedores en el ámbito de Internet Of Things para compartir sus experiencias en el desarrollo de ideas de negocios en este mercado y, así, ofrecer una serie de recomendaciones. Alicia Asin, CEO de Libelium, Alexis Nadal, CEO de Nayar Systems, y José Antonio Ferrerira, que dirige Sateliun, han formado parte de esta mesa redonda.

Cuatrecasas también ha intervenido en la tercera edición de IoT Madrid Forum mediante la ponencia de Álvaro Bourkaib, P/IT & Data Protection Partner, para ofrecer el punto de vista legal y jurídico de algunos casos de uso y proponer un sistema de autenticación para IoT basado en tecnología blockchain. Tras esta exposición, Lydia Montandon, Business Development Director en Atos Research and Innovation, ha presentado la campaña Watify que estimula la modernización de la industria europea a través de la transformación tecnológica de empresas tradicionales, la promoción de la digitalización regional y la adopción de sistemas de innovación avanzados.

El sector Telco

A continuación, Juan Manuel Martínez, presidente de la Asociación Madrileña de Graduados e Ingenieros Técnicos de Telecomunicaciones, ha moderado el segundo panel del evento en el que sus participantes han expuesto sus puntos de vista y experiencias de IoT en el sector Telco. Han formado parte de este espacio Ladislao Aceituno, IoT Engineering Manager (New Digital Business) en Telefónica España, José Pablo Ruiz, Skill Center Project Manager RAN/NAD/FT en Orange, y Rubén de Diego, miembro del Departamento de Telemática y Electrónica Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería y Sistemas de Telecomunicación de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.

Tze Chiew , Product Sales Manager en Advantech, ha explicado la propuesta de su compañía para establecer una conexión entre el mundo técnico y el mundo real mediante la nube. Por su parte, Jaime Trapero, Customer Marketing Manager en Ericsson, ha presentado el estudio mundial que la organización lanzó el día anterior acerca de las estrategias de posicionamiento de IoT para operadores de telecomunicaciones. Finalmente, el CEO de MIOTI ha intervenido para presentar este primer instituto de Internet de las Cosas y despedir la tercera edición de IoT Madrid Forum.

Madrid, 30 de abril de 2018.- Madrid ha acogido por tercer año consecutivo el evento IoT Forum, que se ha celebrado en el Cine Capitol. Aproximadamente 300 profesionales del sector se han congregado en esta edición, en la que además han participado 17 organizaciones compartiendo sus experiencias y presentando sus productos y servicios. El próximo mes de mayo se lanzará la cuarta edición de este encuentro que, año tras año, pretende situar a España en el corazón del mercado del IoT europeo e internacional.

En representación de la Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología (FECYT), Raquel Saiz, Head of Responsible Research and Innovation, ha inaugurado el evento. En su discurso, ha hecho hincapié en la importancia de acercar la ciencia y la innovación a los ciudadanos para que puedan aprovechar todo el potencial de las tecnologías digitales, un objetivo compartido por la Fundación e IoT Madrid Forum.

Daniel Sanz, Business Development en Matooma en España, ha presentado algunos casos de éxito que su compañía ha desarrollado con soluciones de IoT en escenarios “machine to machine” en los que la conectividad era un gran desafío. A continuación, José Antonio Jiménez, Standardization Programme Manager of Electronics and ICT en UNE Asociación Española de Normalización, ha compartido con los asistentes el estado de la estandarización en el área de IoT y las nuevas tecnologías. Por su parte, Galo Montes, Spain Presales Director & IoT CTO en Hewlett Packard Entreprise (HPE), se ha referido al “Renacimiento Digital” que se está dando gracias a Internet de las Cosas, resaltando la vinculación directa entre la transformación digital, la conectividad constante y el análisis en tiempo real de la información.

IoT y emprendimiento

El CEO de IoT Projects, Jean Triquet, además de haber presentado la tercera edición de IoT Madrid Forum y cada ponencia, ha moderado el primer panel del evento. En él han participado emprendedores en el ámbito de Internet Of Things para compartir sus experiencias en el desarrollo de ideas de negocios en este mercado y, así, ofrecer una serie de recomendaciones. Alicia Asin, CEO de Libelium, Alexis Nadal, CEO de Nayar Systems, y José Antonio Ferrerira, que dirige Sateliun, han formado parte de esta mesa redonda.

Cuatrecasas también ha intervenido en la tercera edición de IoT Madrid Forum mediante la ponencia de Álvaro Bourkaib, P/IT & Data Protection Partner, para ofrecer el punto de vista legal y jurídico de algunos casos de uso y proponer un sistema de autenticación para IoT basado en tecnología blockchain. Tras esta exposición, Lydia Montandon, Business Development Director en Atos Research and Innovation, ha presentado la campaña Watify que estimula la modernización de la industria europea a través de la transformación tecnológica de empresas tradicionales, la promoción de la digitalización regional y la adopción de sistemas de innovación avanzados.

El sector Telco

A continuación, Juan Manuel Martínez, presidente de la Asociación Madrileña de Graduados e Ingenieros Técnicos de Telecomunicaciones, ha moderado el segundo panel del evento en el que sus participantes han expuesto sus puntos de vista y experiencias de IoT en el sector Telco. Han formado parte de este espacio Ladislao Aceituno, IoT Engineering Manager (New Digital Business) en Telefónica España, José Pablo Ruiz, Skill Center Project Manager RAN/NAD/FT en Orange, y Rubén de Diego, miembro del Departamento de Telemática y Electrónica Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería y Sistemas de Telecomunicación de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.

Tze Chiew , Product Sales Manager en Advantech, ha explicado la propuesta de su compañía para establecer una conexión entre el mundo técnico y el mundo real mediante la nube. Por su parte, Jaime Trapero, Customer Marketing Manager en Ericsson, ha presentado el estudio mundial que la organización lanzó el día anterior acerca de las estrategias de posicionamiento de IoT para operadores de telecomunicaciones. Finalmente, el CEO de MIOTI ha intervenido para presentar este primer instituto de Internet de las Cosas y despedir la tercera edición de IoT Madrid Forum.

Zona exhibitoria

A media mañana los asistentes han disfrutado de un coffee break – networking en el que además han podido visitar los stands de algunas compañías como Matrix Electrónica, Intersystems, Matooma, Advantech, IoT Projects o Matooma. This cabin is mostly made from pallets and reclaimed lumber from dumpsters and local landfill. I started this cabin on November 7th of 2014. I have enjoyed building without any plans. I just use the material that I had and figure it out as I go. I have bought the 4x4's that supports the frame of the cabin. They are concreted into the ground. I bought the treated 2x4's that make up the frame of the roof and floor, and I bought advantech sheets (4x8 Sheets) for the flooring. The rest is pallet wood and reclaimed lumber. I got a great deal on the metal for the roof, a local hardware store was going out of business and I bought all they had. I used it all on this project. Me and my 3 dogs have built every piece of it. We've done it all. The cabin is 12'ft x 12'ft and I squared it up by laying like pallets on the ground and then I just dug holes for the 4x4's beside the pallets as they were on the ground. I set the 4x4's in concrete and then I let concrete cure for a few days and on November 9th of 2014 I laid the first pallets for the frame. The framing is made of of larger than normal pallets, 8' to 10' ft in length and about 4 ft wide. I got all the framing pallets from the landfill. The pallets are set on concrete blocks that were leveled. I attached the pallets to the 4x4's and I attached the pallets together using 2x4's. Once I got the frame up I then started using old decking wood as the siding I got from a friend that replaced his deck around his pool. Once the siding was on, I added the roof. I got the window on the front from a friend that recently replaced their windows on their house. The front porch is one big pallet from Lowes. Its made up of landscape timber on the bottom and 2x4's. I used reclaimed lumber I had to put on top of the pallet. It turned out just right to set a rocking chair on. Then I added the frame for the floor and put the advantech sheets on top of the frame of the floor. I then started on the lean 2 I added. I once again purchased the 4x4's and set them in concrete. The frame for the roof on the lean 2 come from a large pallet from Lowes' and the local landfill. I added a large pallet for the back wall under the lean 2. Just something to block the wind because this is where I'm going to be BBQ'n.. I then added the front door and the door believe it or not was found in a dumpster. It was an awesome find. This is where I'm at. This weekend (Feb 14) I am taking some broken down pallet wood to get planed to the same thickness to install on top of the advantech sheets. Its mostly red oak and should make a beautiful hard wood floor. Then I will be insulating the walls/ceiling, adding a wood stove, pallet furniture, etc..
