8 A1 pages and one A2. This was my advanced higher art I completed in S6 in 2021-2022 at Speyside High School. The whole project was inspired by the Marvel character ‘The Scarlet Witch’ as I created a collectors box including a sculpture/figure, a t-shirt, a mug and the box itself. I developed an understanding of using a pottery wheel while making the mug as well as working with clay in finer details to make the sculpture. I managed to develop my skills in graphic design through making the box and shirt.
At Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Joby Aviation, in partnership with ANA Holdings, conducted demonstration flights of its Joby S4 electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. The event marks the first public demonstration of an eVTOL at a World Expo.
The Joby S4 aircraft, featuring an ANA livery, performed vertical takeoff, transition to wingborne flight, and vertical landing, showcasing the future of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM). Over the course of 13 days, more than 20 demonstration flights were scheduled between late September and the end of the Expo. Each flight lasted about 10 minutes, reaching altitudes of approximately 900 feet and speeds up to 220 kilometers per hour.
The Joby S4 can carry a pilot and up to four passengers. These flights served both as a public showcase and as a real-world test of airspace integration, safety coordination, and public readiness for the introduction of urban air mobility in Japan.
