I don't know if I would go out in the bay on either one of these boats..;) The weather is still ugly. Guess it is everywhere.
In Corpus Christi, Texas. This is another one I've pulled out of the archives. Gotta make another trip down there. Maybe I can make it in March. Going during the off season I might be able to get a good price on a hotel room. Plus, it won't be so hot.
I shot this one sometime back but I didn't post it because I didn't like the way it came out. But, with new software and me improving my processing skills, I kinda like it now. Working has really slowed down my photography. And, now they want me to work more days..;( The money will be nice, but I'm going to hate losing more free time.
All's peaceful as the sun sets in the west
Tomorrow is going to be warm with rain. I'm getting just a little tired of the rain.
I finally got my car fixed after hitting that deer. I ordered the parts on line and one of my neighbors installed them. All in all, it cost me about 400 hundred bucks..;(
I stayed with the fog for one more image ..;) I do like the way it came out. Simple and relaxing.
Happy Sunday. Hope everyone in the Northeast is doing alright with that nasty weather. I saw a few pictures posted on Flickr. It looks really ugly
I had some fun with this one and learned some Photoshop tricks while I was doing it. As soon as I get another boarder staying here I'm going back to the coast. Just seems like there's just a lot of cool adjustments I can do to coastal shots.

This is another one that I just got tired of messing with. However, I kinda like it so I may re-do it later when I have more time to mess with it.
Hope everyone is having a great week
If you click on the image and look at the top of the grill, you'll see something from yesterdays image. I swear I didn't put it there. I think it's becoming a thing..;))
I made most of the image with the new Beta Photo Shop. If you haven't tried it yet you might want to. It's fun to play with.
Happy Hump Day
This is from Rockport, Texas. I thought I had posted all my boat images but than I found this one and after I played with it a little I decided I liked it.
I start a new job today so I'll be a little slow getting back to you but I will get back to you. Here's the place I'm working
I was looking for a place to live in Wimberley and found a job instead. Now, I really do need to find a place to leave in Wimberley. Funny how life works sometimes
While taking a tour of the harbor in Galveston, we went past this fish processing plant. The Pelican's on the roof sorta give it away..;) Anyway, I thought it was a funny shot. The guy driving the boat apparently new someone there and he came to the door and held up the catch of the day.
I finally finished my Chemo and Radiation. So now I'm guessing it's wait and see. I feel like I'm having some withdraws from the medication that I stopped taking, that the doctor assured me I wouldn't have. Still can't swallow anything. I'll be so happy when this is all behind me.
Getting close to Fall. I'm ready for some cooler weather, just as long as it doesn't get crazy cold.
Happy Weekend everyone
Happy Slider Sunday
I've only been posted one a week because my day off is Friday & Saturday. I get my errands done on Friday and then Saturday I put something together.
I still try to look at your images during the week.
I took my tripod with me to Corpus because I new I would be doing some night shots. It was really windy, so I'm surprise the boats came out in focus
I haven't been in here much because I've been wallowing in self pity. I was just diagnosed with cancer and it's located in my neck. The doctor is pretty sure it's curable and he has a 5 year plan. In the mean time lots can happen. I'll probably lose about 30 lbs, could lose most of my teeth and could lose the ability to talk. I'll be starting radiation and chemo later this month. It still hasn't completely sunk in and I'm still having trouble talking about it. I'll still be looking at your work but I just may not be contributing as much
The bird is walking on the dock. There was a Hurricane about 200 miles away but it still had an effect on this marina.
We've had ice and sleet the last couple of days, which isn't something that happens often around here. Luckily, it's suppose to warm up a little on Saturday.
Happy Weekend Everyone
There is a road that runs along the harbor at the bottom image. Just setting the stage.;) And, just past the road is a hill. So, I'm on top of the hill with my tripod set up to get the best shot I can and I see this pickup truck driving by. The truck stops and the guy gets out and starts climbing the hill. I'm thinking, I hope he doesn't need directions because I'm a tourist as well. He gets to the top of the hill and introduces him and tells me he's been in town for a week and hasn't hardly caught any fish...lol..Who does that..;) The guy never stopped talking. I took all my shots and started loading up my gear. As I'm driving away, he's still talking..:)
We are really going through some different times. I can't help but wonder how we'll come out on the other side. My mother went through the depression, and we were never able to throw something away. At my grandfathers farm, if we took a building apart we had to straighten the nails out.
So, I'm wondering, we will forever be afraid to get close to someone. We will always collect toilet paper..;)
...HTMT!!
I don't know if this counts as a tree or not. I spotted it on trade day here in Wimberley and thought it looked pretty cool.
I had a lot of noise in this shot, which surprise me because I had it on 100 ISO. I got most of it out with Topaz.
I'm thinking about heading back to the coast next week. I'm getting an extra day off for Veteran's Day.
Can you believe the Christmas ads have already started on TV. So crazy.
I keep trying to do different looks to force me to try different things. But, I feel like I'm starting to get fixated on these shrimp boats and sunrises.
I thought my medical deal was on Thursday but It's on Friday. Ugh, one more day to think about it.
Seems strange to be running the air conditioner in February.
I took all these shots so I have to use them..;) I enjoyed myself while on this mini vacation that I decided it would be great to have another house on the coast. Well, the realtor gave me a heads up. She said," You can't be just looking. You have to get pre-qualified and ready to write the check." I'm afraid I'm going to have to put living at the coast on the back burner. I just not able to invest the amount of time it would take to find the right place.
On the bright side, I get my 2nd shot this week. Has anyone else had there 2nd shot. Just wondering if it's any different then the first one.
I had a little fun with this one. I'm just barely am getting this one up for Slider Sunday. I started working on it early but then I just kept getting interrupted.
Happy Week Everyone
This is Waller Creek in Austin. With the help of Topaz, it looks pretty good. Can you believe my Fence Friday pic was in Explore. They always seem to pic my worst look pic to put in there. Anyway, Happy Sunday Everyone
What's a girl gotta do to get noticed..:) Just a fun shot from the South by South West festival last year. She's a really sweet girl. She said to me, I'm glad someone see's me..;) She added me to facebook..lol
I know it's early but I am bored ..:)
Monday I had to go to the hospital so markers could be installed on my Prostrate for the radiation treatments. Luckily, they put me under. However, it still hurts today and I wasn't expecting that. I thought it was just a simple thing. Guess not. Anyway, in a couple of weeks I'll start the radiation treatment to kill the Prostrate cancer. And, that should fix the last of my medical issues.
Rockport, Texas. About a 31/2 hour drive from Austin. Not the prettiest coast city in the Texas but I was still able to get some great shots.
I decided to take a different route on my evening walk when I discovered this scene. It's another section of the old golf course close to my house.
HFF!!
OK, this could be my last shot of the river walk in San Antonio..:)..Or not.
I have been doing a lot of driving in the last few days. Drove almost 5 hours to go visit my sister in north Texas above Dallas, than drove almost 3 hours to go visit my daughter in east Texas. Turned out that she had to work so we had lunch and I drove 5 hours home.
I was standing in the kitchen watching these birds going crazy over the bird feeder and thought, why don't I have my camera in my hand. I thought it was be some easy shooting but I must have taken over 150 shot an only got one I liked. This big guy kept coming around and kicking the little guys off like it was his private feeder..:)Click on the image
Just wanted to post something to let you know I'm still here.
On Easter weekend I had to go to the emergency room because I was gasping for air. After running several test they found that besides the one bald value I had another one that was bleeding. Open heart surgery was done and the operation took over 5 hours. I now have 6 month of rehab in front of me.
My first night home my feeding tube fell out. I went to the emergency rood but they don't stock feeding tubes. The doctor tried to MacGyver it but it's didn't work. I went back to the hospital the next day and got a new feeding tube, which leaks. Went to the emergency room on Saturday. They couldn't do anything and said I would have to call on Monday to make an appointment. Was also told that I should give it a few days and that my skin would probably grow to the new tube. I'm pretty sure that doesn't happen.
Anyway, just wanted to keep those up to date that have sent me messages and wondered where I went
I went out to do some night shots Sunday and I use to like to go to the top of the Long Center parking garage but now the gates are locked. Than I went to the Hotel parking garage next to Aussie's restaurant and there was a sigh that photographers would be escorted off the premises. What's going on do you think. I went to a store last week and a sign on the door said no cameras? Doesn't everyone have a camera phone? Maybe that's the problem. Anyone else running into this?
Saturday, the "Tree Folks" a local non profit that plants trees in public and private places, called me and asked if I would take some pictures of them planting trees in one of the county parks. Since I'm a tree huger at heart, I said sure. The light was terrible. An ugly overcast day. Horrible for taking pictures. And, of course, as I'm leaving the park to come home, the sun came out..:)And, I saw this beautiful shot. Probably the best shot of the whole day
This is the Lutie Watkins Memorial United Methodist Church in Llano, Texas. I tried to find some info on the Internet but wasn't successful
Starting Wednesday, I'll be working in San Antonio on the TV set for the new ABC series, The Gospel of Kevin. I just have a little part selling magazines and newspapers at the airport. I won't get rich, but it'll give me something to do..:)
More shrimp boats. I've never been shrimping but a friend of mine said it's a lot of work. I guess nothing as romantic as it seems..;) These two were tied up in Conn's Harbor near Aransas Pass.
I didn't notice until I started processing it, but it's main sail is missing. Also, it's got Christmas lights laying all over the bow. So, maybe it was the dock Christmas tree..;)
I wish I could remember where I took this picture ..;)
I had to go back to the hospital because I was still having a hard time breathing. They found a liter of liquid under my right lung. I wonder how long I've been dragging that around. Anyway, I'm home now and feeling a little better. I start rehab next week. I'll probably be in here more once I getting back to my old self.
HBM!!
Working from home isn't all the great. One of the reasons I work is for the camaraderie of my co-workers. And, the money does come in handy as well..:) WIth so many out of work, I feel lucky to still be working. I hope the rest of you are doing as well
Happy hump day everyone ..:)

On the morning that I was getting ready to leave my hotel and head home, I stepped out on the patio and grabbed this shot. After I looked at it for a while, I almost feel like it would be a pretty good shot without the boats.
..lol..I love you guys..;) So, no, I've never owned goats. When I was 5 the people next door to us had goats and I use to ride them..;) Anyway, I just remember goats being fun. Probably wouldn't be as much fun now. I just has a little nostalgic moment. And, no, I don't have anyplace to keep them.
Since it looks like we're in this virus thing for the long haul, I got 3 new pairs of sweat pants..:)
I went to Austin earlier in the week and saw this church that I know I've driven past it hundreds of time and never noticed it. And, I saw the benches ..;)
Happy Friday Everyone
I'm amazed at how much light I picked up. Really, it was so dark I couldn't even see this guy. I knew he was there because we passed each other in the dark. Him with his fishing gear and me with my camera gear..:) We eyed each other and said good morning...:)
Anyways, I was standing on a little out cove and zoomed all the way out and shot in his direction. I took a bunch of shots to make sure I captured him. This one came out the best.
Happy weekend
HWW!!
The Texas State Capitol. I was downtown with a friend and while we were walking around, I spotted this view of the Capitol with the clouds floating over it. Some days we just get lucky..:)
This is a redo. I saw this process on a tutorial and thought I would try it. I may have over done it..:) Plus, I just really got tired of messing with it. Sometimes I think it best to walk away from a project and than get back to it later. Which, is probably what I should have done here. Hope everyone has a great Sunday
