En été, la Haute-Provence revêt un manteau violet au parfum délicieux. Du Vercors au Verdon, les champs de lavande sont en fleur. L’occasion d’admirer de somptueux paysages, mais aussi de partir à la rencontre d’une culture, dans tous les sens du terme : celle de la lavande, une longue histoire provençale. Un bonheur pour les sens.

Lavendelfelder in der Haute-Provence
Im Sommer verwandelt sich die Landschaft in einen blauen Blütenteppich, und riesige Lavendelfelder erstrahlen in der Hochprovence, im Vaucluse und in der Hochebene von Valensole in einem tiefen Violettblau.
Ein unbeschreiblicher Duft liegt über den Feldern - ein Fest für die Sinne.
Obwohl es heiß war, +35-+40C, werde ich wiederkommen.

Lavender fields in Haute-Provence
(Repeating some words of one of my other images)
'A second time I've visited this region when the Lavender was in bloom and saturated the whole plateau with its heavenly perfume, mixed with all the scent of Provence.
Imagine this whole area filled with the humming of some Millions of Bees and the Chirp of Cicadas! A feast for the eyes and senses.
A part of my heart will stay there and I will come back again one day.'

A close look at the south pier across the harbor entrance shows several ghosted images of other sunset and ice admirers.
Le tigre blanc est un animal magnifique. J'ai eu l'occasion de pouvoir en admirer deux, deux frères vivant ensemble. Les yeux de ces tigres sont juste incroyables. Alors qu'on parle beaucoup de la planète et de la Nature en ce moment, je voulais partager cette image avec vous !
The white tiger is a splendid animal. I have had the possibility to see 2 of them, 2 brothers living together. The eyes of those tigers are just fabulous ! While we are talking a lot about the planet and Nature for the time being, I wanted to share this photograph with you !

I'm an admirer of the old Japanese-and chinese paintings. Our country reveals sometimes a scene which these old masters might have enjoyed

Just in front of us, you can see a path that goes up to a pass, called Intipunku, the "Sun Gate".
This is the end of the Inca Trail, i arrived from there the day before.
The view from Intipunku on the site of Machu Picchu is fantastic !

Les terrasses du Machu Picchu
Cette vue nous permet d'admirer les terrasses invraisemblables du Machu Picchu.
Juste en face de nous, on aperçoit un sentier qui monte jusqu'à un col. Ce col s'appelle Intipunku, la "Porte du Soleil".
C'est le débouché du Chemin de l'Inca, c'est par là que je suis arrivé la veille.
La vue du site du Machu Picchu depuis Intipunku est fantastique.

im Laufe der Jahrhunderte durch Temperaturschwankungen, starke Winde und die Gischt des Meeres geformt worden.
Die V-förmige Bergkette sieht aus, als wäre sie von Hand geschliffen und gemeißelt worden.
Die Formen und Silhouetten, die das Meer überragen, wirken sehr glaubhaft.
