Found this one in my archives.... this was obviously when I was going through my Fractilous faze.!!

There is something so addictive about this filter..

My name is Chris and I'm a fractoholic!

Please click on the image (or press 'L') for the best view.

Taken recently on Skomer island - there is something infuriating but completely addictive about trying to capture these magic little characters in flight, as they return to their burrows with food for the young Pufflings waiting patiently underground.

Nice to bump into fellow Flickr-ite Rob Cross on the island - many of you will know his photostream already but for those who don't please do call in on his images, you will not be disappointed.

I normally shoot stuff in one photographic exposure but the two elements for this shot are 185 miles apart. Leaving an open shutter capped for maybe 4 hours would have blown my sensor so I made use of the addictive Sony A7 multiple exposure app....

jane...finally makes it into the big wide world...terrifying...but exciting.. and addictive...

Addictive personality. Anything I enjoy I repeat.

Curse Save by the Bell reboot being addictive. Chasing waterfalls is sad and a little morbid. We've come a long way since the days of Brigderton.

Ces mésange sont très addictives elle sont de quatre à six mésanges dans ma cours arrière qui capte mon attention la meilleur chose à faire sortir la caméra et tirer un bon coup comme on dit dans notre language et voici le résultat

These tits are very addictive they are four to six tits in my backyard that captures my attention the best thing to bring out the camera and take a good shot as we say in our language and here is the result

I heard stories about how addictive it was to shoot the ice on the beaches in Jökulsárlón, Iceland. Between the beauty of the glowing sunrise colors appearing through clear and blue glacial ice and the excitement of the crashing waves, it was a thrill like no other.

In planning my trip, I gave myself time to return to the area after taking a workshop from Tony Prower (highly recommended, by the way). This proved to be a really good move because it taught me about the location and the technique before I set out to use them both on my own...

There is a lot more to this post... see the rest of the backstory, how I got the shot, and get free wallpaper from www.coloradocaptures.com/arctic-morning-ice-melt.

This picture indicates towards the harmful and addictive effects of smoking. It implicates the darkness looming from the shadow of smoke while the light of life incinerates.

Someone told me that making self-portraits was addictive. They were right.

I am just in love with this photo right now. Gosh, I need a pair of shorts like Willow, LOL. Just finished these last night, and I am so happy with how they turned out. :D

These Nightjars are becoming rather addictive. I managed to take this photograph last night in the twilight and was really pleased with the plumage detail. The males glide around with their triangular tail fanned showing off the white corners. They also clap their wings above their backs making a sound just like hand clapping. They only become active well after sunset so photographing flying birds in good light is a non-starter.

21st September 2017:

As it looked as though the rain was set in for the day I hunted around the apartment for something for today.

Easy, Graham had got next weeks TV guide from the local supermarket, (a freebie).

So I took it outside for a bit more light, not that they was a lot more and took a few photos.

Ahh, heavenly I've got some more wet weather fun, two more Sudoku puzzles.

Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites. :O)

We spent time at Redwood Shores and some time chasing after Kites and Hawks at Half Moon Bay!!

Another just after sunrise composition of one of these photographically addictive little common darter dragonflies . Cloaked in diamond encrusted like dew , with the rising sun lighting up the now dry grasses behind . This little dragonfly will wait for the warmth of the early morning sun to dry off the dew then start another day on the grassland.

it's addictive that leaf piping!

I made about 3 times too many roses than I needed, so I gave them to the bride to add to slices of cake when it wwas served.

Design based on 'Songbird Sanctuary' by Zoe Clark (Wedding cakes a design source, Squires kitchen magazine publishing. Issue 38, Spring 2011, page 106) . Though I added 2 birds, changed the way white blossoms looked and embossed the board, edging it with a contrasting ribbon and finally adding a loop to the top of the cake!

A sharp full image of a beautiful butterfly: Bath White (Pontia daplidice) . This is probably the best shot i had for this butterfly. Macro photography is not an easy art to master, and it is very addictive. I am having a hard time detaching this sweet macro lens from the camera - I am sure the birds noticed that :)

Thank you for your comments and faves. It is by viewing your work i am learning to master mine, and it is by your encouraging remarks that i get much rewards.

52 Weeks of 2018

Week No: 10

Theme: Addiction

Category: Creative

The Brief:

What are you craving for?

Binge watching of your favourite series?

A late night freezer raid?

A crafty smoke?

Maybe a glass of your favourite wine?

This week we invite you to show us your (or) an addiction.

Your image does not in any way have to reflect personal lifestyle choices.

Have some fun with this one!!

I have a very definite addiction to pitchers and teapots - this is only a sampling of my collection... of course, my addiction to antique shops, flea markets, and yard sales doesn't help with a cure... keeps my photo prop cupboard well stocked, though!

Thank you in advance for your views, comments, and faves. They are much appreciated!

Eat at your own risk, extremely addictive.

Totally addictive. Unfortunately, Typhoon and F-35 will never look this good. This was a treat and a half to see, hear and photograph all courtesy of our friends of the Luftwaffe.

It's pretty addictive having complete control over a scene being able to adjust the lighting and/or colours as you so wish, and of course the complete freedom to set the focal point and camera angle to anywhere.

Wishing you a beautiful weekend.

Gina Hayes

just one of LOTS of bokeh shots I took today-once I started it got addictive!

Another Prisma app image - it's so addictive!

As this year has progressed my interest in photography has changed from mostly landscapes using a wide angle lens to mostly bird photography using a super telephoto lens. Photographing these small quick moving, nervous subjects is very addictive.

continues.......

Hiking up mountains can be addictive! Since the Monadnock trip I've been looking for opportunities to see the world from bird's perspective, without having to board on a plane! Finally, it was time; time for a greater height, time for a bigger challenge. It was time for Mt. Liberty (4500 ft)

Oh, it's quite addictive trying to capture the lightning strikes

OK, another Muriwai shot but it is an addictive place.

Been processing wedding shots so another from the archives until I can get that job done and get out to the landscape-big storm coming so that isnt' looking so flash either.

Its middle of the week so enjoy your Wednesday (or Tuesday night)

GND Filter, bit of HDR (more for dymnaic range rather than cooking it hopefully).

What started as a doodle somewhen in late 2015 quickly became addictive, and I spent hours and hours getting the max out of the 70+ parts. Yeah, I even used custom painted LEGOs for the first time - the purists may forgive me :-)

On the prototype: the BEUTH was built by August Borsig in 1844; it was the first locomotive not only manufactured, but also entirely designed in Germany (until then, the steam market was dominated by British and American designs). It was an instant technical success, fast and reliable. It became the blueprint for generations of steam locomotives to follow, and just thirty years later, the Borsig Works had become the World's second largest manufacturer of locomotives behind Baldwin.

Here's a picture of a replica of the BEUTH, on display at the Deutsches Technikmuseum Berlin.

CREDITS: many thanks to my brother for doing the painting. He's the real scale modeler in our family; I'm just the guy playing with little plastic bricks ;-)

Another Eye macro; as someone has said; it can become addictive :-)

Finally found a cool location to spin the sparks! :-) This is getting a little addictive.

Wooo hooo Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PLUS the Rain Stopped WOOO HOOOO!!

I'm determined not to let this beat me... Got a bit of a better drop mechanism now, a nice bit of kit borrowed from the labs guys at work that releases single drops. I've had near 100% hit rate using it... Problem is I can't seem to get it to drop two drops in quick succession to get one of the elusive drop crashes... But this is the one I've been most happy with during tonights attempts.

Baking tray filled with water and black food colouring in the droplet water.

Hopefully they will keep getting better!!
