Had a weird morning, but overall it was a beautiful day except for the fact that i didnt get to drink Burn today =(

In all its forms, addiction is another unfortunate symptom of contemporary life that enslaves us, stealing our true potential. But when we become addicted to understanding who we are and why we’re here, the doorway to true freedom swings wide open.
I photographed this hummingbird in my backyard with a 300mm lens and a radio-controlled flash. It would fly to the feeder, drink for a mere 2-5 seconds, fly away, then return in about 20 minutes.
This area really is somewhat scary. I drove around twice before picking a parking spot (2 blocks away) and revisiting. It is hard to see what is occuring. Men and women sitting on boxes next to garbage bags and shopping carts loaded with, what seems to be trash. I wanted them to have digtinity and choice so for every one of these pictures I made sure they consented.
