I blame Eric for wanting to go to Buffalo Exchange and causing me to get tempted to buy stuff and eventually spending money on this adorable purse. I was doing so good with saving money too!! I guess everyone falters once in awhile. Anyways, I like it and I got no regrets..
I found myself a bit restless and unable to sleep last night, and it probably didn't help that every time I received a notification on my phone, my room would be filled with light from the screen of my phone.
After perusing updates from Instagram, it occurred to me that the light being cast on my face by my phone might actually present a photographic opportunity. After all, what better a way to get to sleep than to get out of bed and begin a photo shoot in the middle of the night?
It's more than a little contrived—I know—but I'm still content with the results all the same.
I took a similar photo a year or two ago, and now that my sister models for me I pretty much only take photos of her so I re did it.
It's supposed to be a commentary on people's obsession with technology.
Lines are real, battery is real, some of the smoke is real, background is real, human is real, most of smoke is fake.
Okay so if anyone is reading this just know that THIS WAS THE STUPIDEST PHOTOSHOOT I'VE EVER DONE. Not that my sister wasn't awesome. Cuz she was. And is. But we spent hours on this crap we like taped burning inscense to a battery which I'm pretty sure is fairly dangerous trying to make it look like she was smoking it (like a cigarette but technology get it addiction to technology I'm clever) but okay so for some reason the inscense was having a bad day and so was my camera so photoshop basically had to step in and do all the work which I really hate I hate using photoshop too much HATE IT. But yeah that's my rant thanks for listening. Even though it isn't that great of a photo I hope you can appreciate the work that has gone into it.

For the weekly theme: "Addiction"
Though I have many, some of my favorite addictions include being barefoot, being outdoors in nature, and sunlight (oh, and PHOTOGRAPHY!! of course) So I tried to incorporate them all into one photo for you guys :)

I admit it, I'm a crack addict. Cracks, slot canyons, narrow spaces between sandstone fins, it's all good. Anything that gets us out into (more into sometimes, other times "onto" is preferable) the rock.
That's Mrs M down at the bottom there multitasking, looking back up at me and being the scale.
(to say that the dot on the map is anything more than a SWAG would be a bald-faced lie. Still, I'm doing better than Yahoo, which seems to think Arches NP is in "Colorado, US")

These are from a trip we made during School Break last October & November.
the last days were stressy again, and i cant stand that it seems as it wont get better. buuuut, well, i have to arrange me somehow. maybe ill go to a concert on mondaaaaay and on the 3rd of december also; to bullet for my valentine/escape the fate an funeral for a friend!!!! itll be awesome, guys! hope you get kinda jealous hahaha ;D

I'm addicted to this trail mix from Costco....Wildroots Coastal Berry Blend (cashews, almonds, cranberries, yogurt chips and wild blueberries)...I lost weight eating it...(okay only 3 pounds, but 3 pounds is 3 pounds)
Day 28/365
Today was Pongal . It is our harvest festival. We cooked a lot of yummy food, had a big meal together and dozed off :D That made it a perfect relaxing Sunday as well :D
