"Your lights are on, but you're not home

Your mind is not your own

Your heart sweats, your body shakes

Another kiss is what it takes

You can't sleep, you can't eat

There's no doubt, you're in deep

Your throat is tight, you can't breathe

Another kiss is all you need

Whoa, you like to think that you're immune to the stuff, oh yeah

It's closer to the truth to say you can't get enough

You know you're gonna have to face it, you're addicted to love

You see the signs, but you can't read

You're runnin' at a different speed

Your heart beats in double time

Another kiss and you'll be mine, a one track mind

You can't be saved

Oblivion is all you crave

If there's some left for you

You don't mind if you do

Whoa, you like to think that you're immune to the stuff, oh yeah

It's closer to the truth to say you can't get enough

You know you're gonna have to face it, you're addicted to love

Might as well face it, you're addicted to love

Your lights are on, but you're not home

Your will is not your own

You're heart sweats, your teeth grind

Another kiss and you'll be mine

Whoa, you like to think that you're immune to the stuff, oh yeah

It's closer to the truth to say you can't get enough

You know you're gonna have to face it, you're addicted to love

Might as well face it, you're addicted to love"

I'll drink to that. But come to think of it, I haven't had a beer in over a year. Last one was in June last year at a BBQ.

Game Addict playing Call of duty.

This is the dark knight of the gaming community. A junky, obsessed in his virtual world, craving for blood and gore. Here, he is the king, the master of the universe. In normal life a useless lazy bum in between jobs, but in here he is succesful, respected and feared. No one can beat him. With his piercing hawk eyes, catlike reflexes and merciless attitude he terminates and humiliates his opponents on the net. something he could only wish for in normal life. In the mean time this alpha male on Betablockers is conquering the world.....only here in the gaming zone.

Best part--all I had to do was show Rissa the faces of the girls and she was in like lightening! I screamed! Then ran upstairs and she picked out the outfit. Had to give her a quick youtube demo of what this song is all about. Then I slid the camera to video and she ran away! Crikeys I ruined it after 2 minutes. Almost had a video!

[The above photo is an extract from a series I did on a drug addict from Winchester called Stephan]

Summer 2007

Anyone who knows me personally, will know how much I despise any type of drugs. I see this type as the most extreme, and it was hard for me to come to terms with doing this.

The pictures are graphic and true to life. They are hard hitting enough for anyone to feel down. Go ahead and look if you're happy with knowing that fact. I'm not glorifying the act of drug taking. I am simply bringing how disgusting and sad it is closer to people. I told this old man to stop. I BEGGED him to stop. What the? I didn't know what I could do? rip it out his hand? F***, I did what I do... I took photos, I told him he was sick. And I hope they change the way people think ...

It's a horrible thing. Watching someone ruin their life. Watching a ruined life, get worse, by doing something so simple, so easily.

As I walked out the park I saw These two men, sat down, with a bag of what looked like rubbish. They both waved and said "excuse us mate, please just excuse for what we are doing". I walked on. I noticed a silver spoon in one of their hands, and the other burning it with a lighter from underneath. I carried on out the gate and walked down the road.

I suddenly stopped in my tracks. I knew full well what they were doing. I immediately reached down to see what change I had in my pocket, I had several pound coins. A moral dilemma was infront of me especially with my camera hanging over my right shoulder. Do I carry on walking? Do I go back? Is there a right or wrong thing to do? - I take photos. It's what I can do. So I went back and introduced myself.

Me: "Hi, you lads alright for money?"

Younger guy: "If you got a tenner I'll take it mate"

Me: "I tell you what, if you let me take your pics, I'll give you everything I got in my pocket"

Younger guy: "Nah mate, not me, I don't want my pic taken"

Older Guy: "Yeh, you can take pics of me mate".

I sat down infront of the two guys, pulled out nearly 10 quid in change out of my pocket and handed it to the younger one and told him to be sensible with it. Hoping that by some miracle he will put it to some good, and buy himself a decent meal. Fat chance. I shook the older guys hand, and introduced myself. He told me his name was Steph. I told him that first of all, I want him to stop, and that this was no place to be doing something so detrimental to himself. He had obviously heard it a million times before.

I lifted my camera to my eye, adjusted the settings on manual mode as if it was second nature and shot for the conditions. I shot with conviction, and never stopped talking to Steph. I tried to level with him about my own experiences with his world, and what I knew about it, unsuccesfully.

I asked him if he was getting help, as I watched him slump into a vile state way beyond what I will ever see in my life. I wasn't disgusted. I was saddened. This guy... Needed looking after. I felt helpless to do anything for him.

I chatted with both guys for about 20 minutes. We talked about the drug. Getting off it, getting on it, While the belt was still fastened tightly around Steph's bicep.

I said my goodbyes and left the park. I walked down to the bottom of the hill and felt I needed to tell someone. I told the police. They'll know what to do, far better than me. I felt bad that I didn't think I could help this miserable old b*stard out. At least he will have got a lift home.

As for taking photos. Was it the right or wrong thing to do? Did I make a bad judgement on the spot? Would I be telling you this story now if I hadn't?
