Harvey Guillén - Actor share his thoughts on finding his voice in the entertainment industry
We had the opportunity to speak with Harvey Guillén on the red carpet at the Impact Awards Gala, a production of the National Hispanic Media Coalition. Harvey was honored with an Outstanding Performance in a Series award. During our conversation, he shared his thoughts on receiving this recognition from the organization and his journey of finding his voice in the entertainment industry.

Javier “Harvey” Guillén, a Mexican-American actor, gained recognition for his portrayal of Guillermo de la Cruz in the 2019 television series “What We Do in the Shadows.” Guillén has showcased his versatility in recurring roles across various television shows, including Alistair Delgado in “Huge” (2010), Cousin Blobbin in “The Thundermans” (2013-2018), George Reyes in “Eye Candy” (2015), and Benedict Pickwick in “The Magicians” (2017-2018). Additionally, he made a notable appearance in the 2013 film “The Internship.”
Born in California, Guillén currently spends his time between Los Angeles and New York City.

The exhibition of Actors of Urban Change in the franework of the Make City Festival in Berlin is open! Hosted in the brandnew CLB (run by the C60 Collaboratorium), the 10 Actors teams from all over Europe display their projects. With a drink in their hands and in beautiful weather, our guests of the vernissage had the chance to learn more about the program and exchange about innovative urban development.

Esta exposición temporal nos invita a hacer un completo recorrido por el mundo del actor español en el Siglo de Oro, destacando aquellos textos en los que Miguel de Cervantes se detiene y reflexiona sobre la realidad del actor de su época.
A través de un itinerario que comienza a principios del siglo XVI y finaliza en la actualidad, se descubre cómo surgió la profesión de actor en España y Europa, quiénes fueron y cómo vivieron estas figuras, cuál fue la consideración social que recibieron en su época, sus influencias, cómo funcionaban las compañías de cómicos, qué sabemos de su manera de actuar, de sus rutinas diarias, de sus obligaciones profesionales, de su nivel de vida, de sus venturas y sus miserias y cómo ellos mismos se convirtieron, incluso, en materia teatral.
