Toy tuesday & thursday: LETTER Q
Mostly Sideshow's 'Chris Taylor' ("Platoon") figure and kit, although the ruck, buttpack, bandolier and boonie hat are from the much-missed 21st Century Toys. The boots are, I think, BBI.
Taken with an "Action Man" camera in week 63 of my 52 film cameras in 52 weeks project:
I thought it would be appropriate to select some military subjects for this camera. It is clear from the results that the viewfinder on this doll camera is very innacurate for framing.
The film was a Boots 110 cartridge, which expired in 1995, I developed it in the Tetenal C41 kit.

(For me)
He walks for hours, but there is no one to be seen, and the sun is baking him in his greacoat. He has to find his squad soon or find the headquarters in Sidi-Bel-Abbes, wich shouldn't be far from here.
Nikki: Hey, look isn't that your friend Joe?
Bob: I wouldn't really call him a friend. Colleague, co-worker, perhaps. He can be a real GI Jerk sometimes!
Nikki: He seemed nice enough at the Christmas party.
Bob: That's only because he was trying to chat you up! Anyway, I really don't think it's him. Do you know how many people look like him? Some people even say that I look like him (I think they're crazy, personally).
Nikki: If it isn't him, then why is he driving the official GI Joe Adventure Team Vehicle? I'm going to say "Hi".
Action Man is, of course, the European equivalent of G.I. Joe. Over the years McDonald’s has done several Action Man promotions in Europe. This figure is from an unusual U.S. release made in 2001. Articulation is limited to shoulders and neck.
A stroll along the Seine in Paris ... at first I thought it was plastic! :)
Thank you to this person for asking for me for this impromptu photo shoot!
treatment for HDR rendering more plastoc!
great weekend everyone! :)
Actually just a kitbash. This guy could be a sweet Law or Steamroller as well, but for now, he'll do as Cobra Ninja Slice :P
For some unknown reason I never had the Action Man commando set as a kid. Fixed that with ebay this year and this unshaven, greying (another great job from the good folk at Flocktastic) 40th anniversay Action Man gets to wear a vintage outfit (and extra bits) as he joins up with 1/6th Commando.
The custom pile grows, can't even put them all on the closet anymore :P Hopefully I'll move most of my Joe stuff up here this weekend, so I can make my own private museum ;) Gonna pick up the vehicles a few at the time, to avoid damage or loss, so those will have to wait. Been hit by a car on my bike today and my left foot hurts like hell, but I hope it'll be a bit better on saturday.
