A more regal interpretation of Ming the Merciless, inspired by Alex Ross' depiction for Dynamite Comics that rather neatly circumvents the 1930's 'Yellow Peril' stereotype of the character's original incarnation.

twenty years ago i found this action figure in a geocache out in the desert. so i took him and left something in trade.
then i made him into a travel bug named Barstow Dude. he traveled 8758 miles all over the US but finally made it back to barstow.
so now he is a model, my first action figure. i was inspired to try this by the fabulous videos of #sirdork730
he is a wee bit embarrassed by his lack of clothes but this is how i found him.
i have a lot to learn about posing action figures. 😊
smoke/steam is from a room humidifier and facial misters.

Over 80% of you preferred this look, so here he is! He may be shorter but he has gained some nice muscles, which I'm sure his partner, Ryan, won't mind 🤔

Fisher-Price Imaginext "Blind Bag – Series 6" Aviatrix figure.
I had not even heard of the Imaginext "Blind Bag" figures until I randomly stumbled across a mention of them last week here on Flickr.
Then, y'know, eBay....
I purchased the figure specifically to participate in the Imaginext Flickr photo group.
(I already had the airplane, though.)

Moesephine is an example of the mix-and-match feature of Pinky Street figures. The face is from PK004 "Moé," while the hair, jacket, skirt, legs, and goggles are from a number of other releases.
Moesephine is based on a character created by Pinky-Street forum member "Blur" (Blurrydoll on Flickr) for a long-running photo-story on that forum called The Ever-Evolving Photo Story Game. I remember purchasing a number of different Pinky figures that I did not yet have in order to replicate Blur's character to add a sense of continuity to the multi-author story.
Those were fun times at the height of Pinky Street popularity, from around 2005 until 2009 or so, after which activity on the forum began a fairly sudden decline. By 2012 there were fewer than half a dozen active members, down from sometimes hundreds of new posts and comments per day at the peak
