Like a band of gypsies, we go down the highway!

I'm heading west toward the setting sun myself, and shall be AFK - Away From Keyboard - and from most other reliable Internettage for the next week or ten days or so.

Yeah, yeah, I know, I need to get hep with the times and learn to run my entire online existence via a mobile phone, but the Flickr app SUxx0Rz, as anyone who has tried to use it knows, and it's too much hassle to type long, rambling, annoyingly self-absorbed captions enhanced with HTML embellishment on a tiny phone touchscreen, so I'm just gonna go radio silent until I'm back at a computer that's plugged in to a wire.

1 April - A Doll A Day 2024

"Maruyama Ōkyo opened his eyes from a fitful sleep and saw a dead woman. She was young. Beautiful. And pale. Unnaturally drained of color, her bloodless skin peeked from her loose, bone-white burial kimono. Her bleached appearance was contrasted only by the thin slits of her black eyes, and by the long, black hair that hung disheveled across her shoulders."

Boss Fight Studios Bucky O'Hare First Officer Jenny Figure

Circa 2017 - 2018 release

Based on the "Bucky O'Hare" comic book and animated TV series from the late-1980s

Size: about 6-inches (15cm) tall

Articulated with a limited range of motion

Extra faces and hands included

I saw one of these figures a few weeks ago on Flickr. I am not familiar with the source material, but I was sufficiently intrigued to look on eBay. I found a few figures available, and put one on my eBay "watch list." Within a short time I had a half-off offer from the seller. For twelve bucks I figured it was worth a gamble.

I have since learned that the original suggested retail price on these figures was $35 back in 2018.

The film was an unauthorized adaptation of Bram Stoker's Dracula, with names and other details changed because the studio could not obtain the rights to the novel.

"They say he died as a boy, but he keeps coming back. Few have seen him and lived. Some have even tried to stop him. No one can."

Again a picture dedicated to Earl Ware !

This awesome Jason figure is another gift from him - out of the more than generously filled package he has sent me. While opening it I got so thrilled when I reckognized this infamous hockey mask ! But after I've learned that this 12-inch figure is a precious Sideshow toy it just blew my mind ! This is my first-ever sixth scale figure and it will always have a special place in my home. Thank you so very much, Earl.

Let the holiday decorating commence!

Come one! Come all! To the Second Annual Doll & Action Figure Holiday Pub Crawl!

From now until the New Year, show us your dolls or action figures getting in to the holiday spirit, with or without spirits, in your miniature pubs, taverns, bars, restaurants, kitchens, living rooms... or just a single figure raising a glass -- soda, spirits, cocoa, milk, sparkling water, or other beverage of choice -- to toast the holiday season.

Seasonal decor encouraged but optional. We want to make the rounds to everybody's place this season, so don't be a Scrooge! Spice up the warm cider, stoke up the Yule log, and join in the festivities!

"And it was here, in this blighted place, that he learned to live again."
