Another Christmas brings another opportunity to witness the excitement young grandchildren bring to the process. In this case, the three youngest of our six grandchildren were on hand. Ages 2, 4, and 6. Even the 2 year old was remarkably fast in figuring out what to do. All were a joy to watch.
Background music is the track "Skating" from the Vince Guaraldi Trio's album "A Charlie Brown Christmas".
All of the time lapse sequences were recorded with a GoPro Session 5 action camera.
Another Wish item in the mail today. Cheap action camera. I googled it before I bought it, and in Sweden it would have costed me 800SEK. Now via Wish I paid 100SEK.
I stand corrected, spring snowboarding does not suck! Its all about timing! You go out too early ( like I did last time ), everything is rock hard ice, you go too late ( towards the end of my ride today ) the snow gets heavy, wet and is trying to swallow you up. I think I managed to hit the sweet spot today and it was an epic morning!

For ten days in October 2021, the brutalist concrete structure known as the International Congress Centre Berlin was open to the public as a unique experience of film, performance and art. We visited the ICC Berlin on the first few days of The Sun Machine is Coming Down, a celebration of the 70th anniversary of Berliner Festspiele.
Since we are big fans of brutalist architecture, visiting the International Congress Centre Berlin was always in our sight. This gorgeous landmark of German architecture is massive beyond comparison, making it one of the largest congress venues in the world.
When I woke up after my nightshift my wife asked me:
“Do you like the 3 Blind Mice Trail Network 😏?”.
Suspiciously I inquired why she would be asking!?
“I was thinking of taking the kids to the Penticton Beach and perhaps there might be a shelf I’m picking up that I would need your help with”
Aha.
So I texted my friend @aa_ron_whalen to ask for directions to get to the massive slap he has shown us on a group ride last year. So with treasure map in hand I went out for the hunt. Sadly after walking up and down the marked spot for 30min and not being able to find it I was about to give up and head back down when a couple locals pulled up. I asked them if they know of such a slab and they told me they just rode it and it’s a few hundred meters up the trail. I followed their instructions and spend another 30min looking but then ran out of time and had to go pickup the fam from the beach. Later on after reviewing it with Aaron we realized that I missed it by just a few more hundred meters . Oh well, next time.
