Ickornshaw Moor is the area of moorland above Cowling village, including the hamlet of Ickornshaw, right up to the Lancashire border with the becks acting as natural boundaries. It is a beautiful moorland, with ever changing scenery through the seasons, traversed by footpaths and bridleways which can still be enjoyed today.
Smile on Saturday - Motion Blur
I didn't intentionally shoot this as a motion blur shot, but I kind of liked the effect so I didn't delete it. I had just come into the treed section of Railroad Bridge park, so I hadn't adjusted my ISO to compensate for the light being blocked by the trees. I saw a squirrel and got in position to shoot. The squirrel ran straight at me, up my leg, and then ran away. It briefly ran up a branch for a quick pose, over to the bird bath for a quick drink, across the top of the bird bath, and then was gone. This all happened in about 60 seconds. This was my last shot as it raced away. Hope my shot and story make you smile. :-)
It thrills me to conceptualize visually things that exist only in my perception. Inevitably this leads down some dark and lonely metaphorical roads. Literally, desolation is a key ingredient. I spend much of my creative time with the camera exploring very lonely places. It heightens situational awareness and makes me keenly aware of the nuance of the environment. There's an element of risk as times. I don't actively pursue it, but thrill to the sense of adventure that ensues when the adrenaline kicks in. Makes me feel very alive. Anyway I'm off on another tangent here. My point is conceptualization of imagination. And a springboard for that is the feeling of an unseen presence I often feel around crop fields. There's some sort of energy there to be sure. Not something that can be gauged on a scientific basis, but we're talking about my mind here, and anything goes. Since childhood I've fantasized about apparitions that exist on one plane that momentarily become visible in our realm. Wraithlike female forms is one of my favorite incarnations. I prefer my terror in beautiful forms that somehow coexist with nature. More subtle than a chainsaw wielding monster, but every bit as terrifying.

Memories of last Summer....
Portland Bill Lighthouse is a functioning lighthouse at Portland Bill, on the Isle of Portland, Dorset, England. The lighthouse and its boundary walls are Grade II Listed.
As Portland Bill's largest and most recent lighthouse, the Trinity House operated Portland Bill Lighthouse is distinctively white and red striped, standing at a height of 41 metres (135 ft). It was completed by 1906 and first shone out on 11 January 1906. The lighthouse guides passing vessels through the hazardous waters surrounding the Bill, while also acting as a waymark for ships navigating the English Channel.[
She says she was pretending someone died (her hat off as a show of respect). I think it looks like she failed an audition, but since that could never happen to MY baby girl, I guess someone died.

4 hoppers are acting as buffer cars, including a MoPac Screaming Eagle logo and a former Chicago & Eastern Illinois in the 3rd and 4th spot.
This is a view from near Incline Top looking down the Incline towards Battersby Junction which is a station still today on the Esk Valley line in North Yorkshire, England. (If you look carefully there are two people down the incline which give a sense of scale)
The line was developed to transport ironstone from Rosedale and the first running of loaded trains was in 1861 and continued until 1929
Ingleby Incline was a self acting incline allowing ore laden wagons to be lowered down from the top of the moor whilst pulling up empty wagons from the Battersby level.

I almost called this the boys are back in town, but it's a new town for Mircea, Ari and Draven. They are all too much of a chaos crew, so a Yungblud song was far more appropriate. <3

just looked like kids wanting to be in front of everyone for the shot...lol
Didn't have anything to say but fancied doing a vid and so here i am socialising with my imaginary friends.
My mum always said i should be on stage ( the first one out of town) and here i am in my greatest role to date. The woman who never was.
Might actually be more woman than some. It seems we can learn to be the opposite gender after all! although I am still having difficulty with walking like a guy and being a knob. OK the last bit i am getting better at.
Back to being sensible i do often forget what gender i am. Well until i look in the mirror first thing in the morning, Well only a woman could have bed hair like that in the morning .
Are as confused as i am lol
