PINK for OCTOBER.

A tender pink, a tender gesture…

A grand pas de deux is effectively a suite of dances that share a common theme, often symbolic of a love story or the partnership inherent in love, following each other’s movements.

I wish you all a very good day and thank you for all your kind words, time, comments and faves. Very much appreciated.

Another client who loved this kind of more 'antique' image of flowers, she did not know which flowers, but there was a colour-scheme in which these fitted!

Of course I could not resist taking some just for me...

The petal of a parrot tulip, dropped off and was caught on the leaf.

At first I was frustrated and irritated?

Then... I saw the potential, my creativity was stimulated... and, it became a small series!

Serendipity, lol.

The story of a parrot tulip and the falling petals.

Hope you enjoy.

Now I love images that are different, and this here truly captured my imagination!

Beyond the obvious! Love it!

Graphic and minimalism can be so beautiful.

The department of mechanical, civil and computer science engineering got this prestigious accreditation valid till 2027

The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) under Washington Accord was established in the year 1994 under Section 10 (u) of AICTE Act in order to assess the qualitative competence of programs offered by Technical Institutions from Diploma to Post graduate level in Engineering & Technology, Management, Pharmacy & Architecture, etc. NBA accredits programs and not the institutions. In the year 2010, NBA became autonomous with the objective of assurance of quality and relevance of technical education through accreditation of programs. In the year 2013, Memorandum of Association (MOA) and Rules of NBA were amended to make it completely independent administratively as well as financially.

Accreditation is a process of quality assurance and improvement, whereby a program is critically appraised to verify that the program continues to meet and / or exceeds the norms and standards prescribed by the regulatory authority from time to time.

NBA does not accredit institutions, instead, it accredits the programs offered by technical / professional institutions which have graduated at least two batches

Secret #24

Sometimes, I wonder how I got to be where I'm at now.

I'm a fairly humble guy, and i often sit back and wonder why me?

Ever since Jr. High, I was never really a good test taker, and that lived through to the SAT's....i took them twice and combined, only scored an 890. It is what it is, i put forth an effort both times and I just couldn't make it.

I applied to one school..California University of Pennsylvania, its part of the State School System in PA, now, I'm not sure if they just let anyone in, or if they were looking for more of a demographic from Central part of the state (its kinda like the 13th grade of Pittsburgh)

To be honest I'm not sure why I got in. But what came of it, is what makes me glad that i was accepted.

Towards the end of my freshman year, my one professor approached me. now earlier on in the day i was dickin around in class w/ a friend so i thought well i deserve whats about to come to me...i walk into his office and he asked me to be his lab assistant...Little did i know, that this professor was about to become one of my best friends. Thats when i knew i was in the right spot....when he announced who his labby was going to be almost all the professors responded with a "Who? Why? Really?"

...well little did they know but, I caught wind of this, and i was now not only out to impress myself....i wanted to prove these professors wrong, and make a somebody out of myself. From that moment on I changed i could tell, I was given an opportunity, and I knew it would take hard work.

All went well, and then as part of my Labby duties I attended the Advisory Board meeting, cause we were going through accreditation. There I met an industry leader, someone i've only dreamed of talking to, some one we talked about in Class..it was crazy i'm sitting next to this person and i some how got the courage to ask him a few questions...i was intrigued by this cutting edge technology he helped build...he was very polite, and before i knew it we were setting up a position for me at the company he worked for as an intern

...now previously i jokingly talked up this company like "Yeah I want to work there someday"

....well that day was now, i started immediately that summer and have been there since...(2 summers now)...

I've made a name for myself... and thats something i can be proud of.

now i'm starting my last semester, I'm graduating a semester early, and my journey is ending, and ...all the professors are sad to see me leave.

That was like 4-6 secrets in itself, i hope you all took the time to read this, i apologize for its length.

Since Iris is the Greek goddess for the Messenger of Love, her sacred flower is considered the symbol of communication and messages.

Therefore the flower iris in the language of flowers symbolises eloquence.

A purple iris is symbolic of wisdom and compliments.

A blue iris symbolises faith and hope.

A yellow iris symbolises passion while white iris symbolises purity.

As you can see, the gift of iris can be used to convey many emotions.

Dutch irises are hybrids of two older varieties, giving it a look all its own.

The distinctive ‘fleur-de-lis' flowers come in a variety of blues, yellows, purples, and white.

Organic, sensual, all about shape and colour.

The Iris is just born elegance... extremely ephemeral, they barely last a few days, yet with unbelievable beauty and style.

Best to leave them in the garden... like so many of the bulbs!

Wishing you a colourful day and thanks for commenting, always appreciated, M, (*_*)

Watching the first sunrise of the New Year and receiving positive energy from nature is a deeply meaningful traditional ritual for the Mongolian people, rooted in centuries of history and cultural heritage. In order to preserve and promote this important tradition, Ulaanbaatar Railway has been operating a special tourist train for the 25th consecutive year.

Alongside Mongolian participants, tourists from South Korea, Japan, and the United States, as well as ambassadors from these countries accredited to Mongolia, took part in the journey. Through this unique experience, they had the opportunity to closely experience Mongolia’s rich traditions and cultural values while welcoming the New Year in a symbolic and memorable way.

The University of Tampa (UT), is a private, co-educational university situated in Downtown Tampa, Florida, United States along the Hillsborough River. It is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. In 2006, the University celebrated its 75th anniversary.

The Henry B. Plant Museum is located in the south wing of Plant Hall on the University of Tampa’s campus, at 401 West Kennedy Boulevard. Plant Hall was formerly known as the Tampa Bay Hotel, which was a 511 room resort hotel opened on February 5, 1891 by Henry B. Plant near the terminus of his rail line. The museum's exhibits focus on Gilded Age tourism, the elite lifestyle of the hotel's guests, and the building's use during the Spanish–American War. It was designed by architect J.A. Wood who also created the old Hillsborough County Courthouse and the Oglethorpe Hotel.

The museum is open to the public every day except Monday and major holidays. During the Christmas holiday season, the museum hosts the annual Victorian Christmas Stroll.

The entire building (under the title of Tampa Bay Hotel) is a U.S. National Historic Landmark, designated as such on December 5, 1972. On April 18, 2012, the AIA's Florida Chapter placed the building on its list of Florida Architecture: 100 Years. 100 Places.

The Orlando Science Center (OSC) is a private science museum located in Orlando, Florida. Its purposes are to provide experience-based opportunities for learning about science and technology and to promote public understanding of science.

The Orlando Science Center is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums (AAM) and is a member of the Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC). The Orlando Science Center is member supported and sponsored in part by United Arts of Central Florida, Inc., the State of Florida, the Department of State, the Division of Cultural Affairs, and the Florida Arts Council.

Incorporated in 1955, the Central Florida Museum (CFM) opened in Orlando Loch Haven Park in 1960. For its first decade, it was an anthropology museum with collections of artifacts relating to Florida and the Caribbean Basin.

In the early 1970s, the CFM's board of directors voted to change directions and to become a "hands-on" science and technology center. In 1973 the institution was renamed to honor a famous native son and astronaut, John Young.

In 1984, as part of an expansion and change of philosophy, the institution's name was changed to Orlando Science Center. In 1985 another major expansion created a permanent physical sciences hall, a traveling exhibit hall, and Curiosity Corner, a hands-on exhibit area dedicated to pre-school and early primary age children. Its new facility was the setting for the Orlando Children's Museum scenes in Ernest Saves Christmas. During the final expansion to the original facility in 1990, NatureWorks, a prototype for OSC's centerpiece natural science exhibit was created.

In May 1992, the Board and staff developed a comprehensive master plan for the Orlando Science Center, including a blueprint for the construction of an entirely new science center. Construction of the new science center began in early 1995.

The new 207,000 sq ft (19,200 m2). The Orlando Science Center celebrated its grand opening on February 1, 1997. It is six times larger than the original facility, which closed on December 31, 1996. The current president and CEO of the science center is JoAnn Newman.

The extremely handsome, one off coachbuilt Bugatti presented here is accredited by Bugatti experts to be a collaboration of its original owner with the Swiss coachbuilder Graber who were one of the leading Swiss coachbuilders of their day.

Most of Graber's 50 workers were skilled specialists, and the firm regularly displayed their latest creations on their stand at the Geneva Salon. It could be said that they were less flashy than some of the French coachbuilders, less advanced than certain Italian efforts but they were definitely of higher quality than most and displaying the well-balanced design preferred by their wealthy clientele. The success of Hermann Graber's company may be judged by the fact that it perpetuated comfortably into the 1970s, long after many of its pre-war contemporaries had ceased.

According to information supplied by Bugattiste Kees Jansen, 57443 was completed by the Bugatti Works in September 1936 and was sold in chassis form to the Bucar Bugatti agency, who had operations in both Berlin and Zurich. This particular order was for the Grob Agency in the Zurich Canton of Horgen. 57443 is one of a handful of Type 57s that were supplied at this time all with chassis numbers in close proximity of each other, notably, 57444, 57446 and 57447. 57443, 57444 and 57447 were all to be equipped with coachwork by Graber. Jansen's records state that the rolling chassis was driven over 150km to Hermann Graber's coachbuilding works on September 21, 1936.

The car's original owner is said to have been an architect and was therefore responsible for the design, while the coachbuilder was for its construction. A number of its features including the hood louver treatment are common with other Graber bodies.

The result was a dramatically different automobile to the factory offered Pillarless sedan, which was arguably a victim of practicality over style. The car here is a clever, set-back, close-coupled design retaining the popular scalloped side panels synonymous with Bugattis, and dispensing with running boards to accentuate separate 'teardrop' or pontoon fenders. It is unquestionably a success, and it is perhaps only at second glance that one notices the presence of the secondary door. With the spare tire set at the back of the car, the full design of its side from its quarter-batched hood louvers backward is uncompromised, always a sporting styling touch. Another particular feature which is rather interesting are the long 'eared' wheel hub spinners, which it is said were to make wheel removal easier for a lady owner early in its career.

By 1960, the Type 57 was the property of Dieter Marx of Basel, and it was there that it was spotted by well known Dutch Bugatti dealer Bart Loyens, using one of the many connections he had forged as a student in Switzerland. The car had apparently been laid up following an engine failure, allowing Loyens to acquire it for a relatively favorable SWF500. He would bring it to the Netherlands and it would remain in Dutch ownership for the next 48 years.

Arriving in Holland 57443 was stored in warehouse space he used of the America-Holland Shipping Line, but it was not long before it passed onto the Dutch Bugatti Agent Albatros, owned by the van Ramhorst brothers. At this point, the 'broken' engine was replaced by another correct contemporary Type 57 unit, being over-stamped with the car's chassis number. (Today its original engine is in America having been fitted to Jim Hull's remarkable recreation of the 'Torpedo Competition' completed and debuted in the last few years.)

After brief sojourn out of the country, while in the custody of Dutchman Gies Pluim came to an end when his wife decided that they didn't need more than one Bugatti (already owning #43198) the car then passed to Hans Sauerbrier in November 1962 where it would remain until 2008. In Sauerbrier's custody the Bugatti was well maintained, and received an engine rebuild with new block in the 1980s, with the work being carried out by Fa Keizer of Doetinchem. Perhaps also at this time it was upgraded to have the hydraulic brake system as on the later models. With that addition and while retaining correct rubber engine dampers of its series, it is today to the definitive specification of the Type 57.

After more than 4 decades of ownership in this family the Bugatti migrated to the U.K. being sold publicly. Its buyer subsequently refurbished the car mechanically before passing it to the current owner.

In its present custody, the decision was made to repaint the car in a style more in keeping with others of its brethren accenting the body moldings in a two tone scheme. At the same time, the interior was sympathetically attended to, repairing the original leather. The details of the cabin are particularly attractive and extend to aspects such as the rarely seen accessory of the original leather cover for the steering column.

On close inspection, this is a rewarding Bugatti to look at today, its distinct body styling is particularly appealing and the preservation of its interior has ensured that the soul and charm of the car can still be experienced. Bonhams has a great tradition of offering special Bugattis, the latest, this unique example follows firmly in those footsteps and will no doubt be appreciated for its usability in events such as those of the American Bugatti Club or indeed to be shown.
