I'm sure there is a proper name for this, but it has the proportions of prams from the 1960s and further back in time.

Walthamstow Market.
I remember stopping for lunch here in 1976 with my mum and sister after we watched a band play live on the site that has long been a shopping mall. This was an old family cafe back then.
I stopped for lunch there about three year's ago and was served more than one human hair and lots of grease with my chip's on that occasion, and needless to say I did what I am good at and complained !
Hopefully it will not be lost as it is one of the long surviving market building's.

HAPPY TUESDAY'S TEXTURES !!
This is just a trio of highly contrasting textures that I happened upon. They were juxtaposed on a street in an Alsatian village. It offered a chance to do an abstract reality image.
The white section is a little mysterious to me. It contains a pattern of symbols that suggests some kind of writing. I have no idea whether or not this is the case. If anyone knows more about this, please add a comment.

This Victorian building is suffering from subsidence, just look at the bowing walls.

HAPPY TUESDAY'S TEXTURES !!
I just happened upon this early spring afternoon iight. It had found its way down a stairwell to an underground pedestrian passage at the end of my street. I don't know why the passage has a red floor, but it is a fine thing from a photographic standpoint.
The passage lets me and everyone else walk between our part of the village and the village center without crossing the tracks of the train line. BTW, it's a magic train line. Hop on a train there, and via connections, you can travel to anywhere in Europe. So, from my POV, the best train line in the world has a stop right at the end of my street!

Lateral forces of load bearing toward the gable/pine end of terraced housing can cause bowing that if unchecked can lead to structural failure and collapse, hence the use of wall ties, truss rods and wall washers.
There is plenty of evidence of this problem throughout London's Georgian/Victorian and Edwardian housing stock.

This building once had one of my favourite pieces of street art on it. Now the render has been taken off and looking at the structure beneath it looks like it may be treated to a spot of demolition.
The art in question is in my Run album (below) and is of two hands and a piece of thread.

The state of the nation, people paying weekly rent to housing associations that sit on the money and ignore their responsibilities to maintain the properties to a high standard.
Thankfully this issue has been very well highlighted and publicised by ITN News.
