The Oculus is part of the New World Trade Center complex. It is absolutely breaktaking to behold. Its roof was designed so that the Freedom Tower atop One World Trade Center could be seen through it.
I will be mainly present on my concert photography stream for the next weeks. www.flickr.com/photos/coastwalker2/

As a photographer, a common theme I like to find is minimal geometry and patterns in nature or man-made objects.
This photo represents geometrical patterns and shapes created by the architecture and reflection of the Prudential Plaza in Jacksonville, FL. I walk past this building so many times, but one day managed to stand underneath it, and discovered this magic.
The architect is KBJ Architects from Jacksonville, FL, a firm responsible for shaping the incoming Jacksonville skyline we have today.
Please let me know if you have any thoughts or comments on how I can improve this.

Know by locals as the "Habitrail," the "Hamster Cage," the colorful parking lot in downtown East Lansing was erected in 1988. Joan Hunault (EL's mayor at the time) envisioned the structure as part of the movement to make East Lansing Michigan's "City of the Arts."

Kept this relatively short because the clouds were moving really fast and I wanted to grab any available blue sky. It was actually pretty stormy with mostly dark rain clouds, and the sun was pretty heavily covered, but in the last 10 seconds of this exposure the sun peeked through a bit and gave the facade a nice soft lighting.

Looking at this coastal apartment building in Barcelona, I instantly thought of the title Warmth of the Sun, originally a song by the Beach Boys. The warm hues of sunlight, play beautifully with the angular rhythms of the façade. Just like the rhythmic close harmony of the song. All of this continues to evoke to me that perfect, carefree, sunny afternoon near the Mediterranean.
