This happens if you print ABS in too high layers and/or with a too low temperature (not sure what was the reason here we changed both the temperature and the filament width setting in the skeinforge scripts in the next run that was more successfully). Here we just took the HDPE parameters but extruded ABS instead. You can easily peel off layer by layer. While this is no good for objects it would be a good choice for support material as adrian noted somewhere on the forums (i think).

This polymer clay pin wheel necklace was created for the ABS March Challenge inspired by Vincent Van Gogh's oil on canvas painting, Street Scene in Montmarte: Le Moulin Poivre. The pin wheel was attached to a wire round bezel and strung with beading wire and chain. Suede pre-cut flowers and textile were added to the wire bezel.

Lighting: Grid snooted strobe at 135° camera left, plus 2nd strobe ceiling-bounced.
Inspired by the color palette this month, I used copper to pick up the coppery color in Redon's painting in both my pendant and in the necklace. I colored the raised areas of the textures in the pendant in a color called "mink" that corresponds to the grayish-green water in the painting. I even snuck in just a hint of yellow in the swarovski crystal at the center of the coppper flower.
