So with lots of fog for the last week or so I just had to go out and try something different.I love the result. Fog long exposure and railway lights.
Crimson Solitude
The dying sun bleeds across the water.
A perfect canvas painted in deep red.
Nature puts on its most beautiful show.
Yet the warmth stays behind the trees.
The sky is full of burning promises.
But my hands remain completely cold.
It hurts to watch the light fade.
Knowing you look at a different horizon.
This glow feels like a cruel joke.
Gold and crimson filling the quiet air.
The world is beautiful tonight.
But I am drowning in unshared colors.

he came into work, chatted with him, yeah, he's a nutjob, this is his 7th Bronco, recently acquired from Colorado. Touch up a few rust spots and clear coat. I love the patina, all original paint! Of course he'll return the interior to all new condition.
Both P42s on the westbound Zephyr are kicking up some exhaust as the train climbs the roughly 2% grade to Big Ten Curve. In the distance, on the main at Eisele (Clay), an eastbound UP coal train is waiting for the arrival of the Zephyr. Indeed, if you are unfamiliar with the geography and layout of the tracks here, welcome to the interesting engineering of Big Ten Curve!

When you can see something like this, -15ºC isn't a problem.
The first time, you can't close your mouth, it's hypnotic and absolutely incredible.
Sure? Is it real?. Yes, it's real and an unforgettable experience.
