The first AVS Shadow was this lowline prototype built for the 1970 Canadian-Amercian (Can-Am) challenge. It was unusually low and captured the attention of Road & Track who put it on their cover and called it the "most radical Can-Am yet". Others have called it the ‘go-kart’ or ‘roller-skate’. The car's creator, Don Nichols called it “the two dimensional car. I call it "A Slice of Stealth".

Pepsi Center 11:30am. I went downtown today to get Avalanche gear for the All-Star game. The Avs have three players going to the game, Rantanen, MacKinnon, and Landeskog. Exciting!
DublinBus (Conyngham Road) AV295
Going to Dublin City Centre for the final two photos of this update.
The AVs have seemed to gain a reputation for coming and going, and that seems to once again be the case, but now with the 03 batch. AV288-298 were (allegedly) withdrawn in one full swoop when Conyngham Road received the last of the 162 SGs. A couple of the AVs have returned to service however, with AV294/5 and AV297 making the cut- for now!
The 79/A seems to have become the resting place for CR’s oldest vehicles, as this was a regular haunt of AV197 up until a short number of months ago. AV295 is noted here on Aston Quay boarding for the 1555 departure of Service 79/A to Ballyfermot and Parkwest.

Phibsborough's fromer VG5 is seen at the Cabra Road operating on route 122. Route 122 was one of the last routes to be mainly single door operated Monday-Sunday, however, the route has recently become SG operated following the arrival of Phibsborough's batch of 191 SGs. With Phibsborough's remaining AXs and majority of their VGs transferring to Broadstone for Euro Duties. Phibsborough now only has VG8, 10 and 11. Which are allocated to the 38/A and 122. This has left Harristown as the only garage with a full time allocation as Summerhill's VGs are home on the Airlink routes. Interestingly route 122 which has been the home to the oldest buses in Phibsborough, namely the RVs, AVs, AXs and VGs no longer gets the oldest buses in the garage. With the 9 being allocated the GTs instead, an allocation that has been consistent since the class's arrival in Phibsborough in 2013. However, 1 or 2 of those GTs does now appear on the 122 on a regular basis.
