The seaplane had just passed Rincon Park on the way to China Basin and AT&T Park.

I have a gallery of additional shots from my seaplane flight.

It has served as the home of the San Francisco Giants since 2000. Originally named Pacific Bell Park, then SBC Park in 2003 after SBC Communications acquired Pacific Bell, the stadium was ultimately christened AT&T Park in 2006 following SBC's merger with AT&T.

Captured at AT&T Park during the game Giants vs. Royals.

I took Jenny and Doug to a baseball game a while back, and to commemorate their first baseball game (which turned out to be untrue), I bought them both Giants t-shirts. It's okay - they looked great in 'em.

This is Oracle Park, home of the San Francisco Giants, formerly SBC Park, formerly AT&T Park, former Pac Bell Park -- I kind of feel sorry for this ballpark and some of its brethren that suffer identity crises every couple of years as some new corporate entity pays the big bucks for naming rights. I'll shamelessly quote Wikapedia on the subject: "Some fans still refer to the stadium as Pac Bell Park, as it was the first name given to the stadium. Others have nicknamed the stadium "The Phone Booth" or "Telephone Park", in response to its multiple name changes, while some referred to the stadium as "Some Big Corporation Park" during the SBC years. Others yet refer to it as "Mays Field" in honor of Giants great Willie Mays or simply "The Bell".[18] Many also refer to the stadium as "China Basin" or "McCovey Cove" after its location, which would be immune to changes in sponsorship naming."

In any case, this ballpark has one of the best (if not the best) views of any MLB park--it is an excellent place to watch a game, especially on the 3rd base side as where this picture is taken.

Photo was taken on July 18th -- it was a heck of a game featuring 9 innings by Bumgarner of the Giants, and 8 innings by Syndergaard of the Mets -- the game was tied till the 16th when the Giants finally won. At bat in the photo is Buster Posey of the Giants.

I came to San Francisco to see if my Mets could put up a last stand for a playoff push. It looked good with a grand slam off Madison Bumgarner to put the Mets out front, but Jacob deGrom didn't have it tonight and gave it all back plus some, including a two run homer to Bumgarner. I did get a neat shot from behind the left field corner.

A dusk view of San Francisco in between two rain storms. The systems didn't make a dent in the drought but they did an excellent job of cleaning the air and brought some much needed snow to the mountains.

...over the park, the skies over San Francisco Bay paint a lovely palette of hues.
