From their facebook page: "SMU GROW is a university-wide programme that involves students, staff and faculty in cultivating change through experiential and reflexive learning." We had a great closing lunch at 7Kickstart, a talk about the SMU Grow program, and a tour of the gardens on campus. I had a tofu burger...like everything else - it was great! What a perfect way to close the conference. We were hosted The Conference (which ran from May 16-19, 2016) was hosted by Li Ka Shing Library, Singapore Management University. The theme of the conference was "The Way Forward: Smart, Savvy, Sustainable". Wow - our day at the Alhambra. This was without a doubt one of the most amazing and beautiful places I've ever been; every bit as cool as the books and TV programs made it out to be. I started with WeatherGirl in the Alcazar (the military end of the complex), zoomed through the public baths, hiked out to Generalife (the royal gardens), and ended in the Nasrid palaces (the palaces of the Muslim rulers, and the most famous parts of the Alhambra). An amazing, overloading, hot, sweaty, wonderful day. Whew.
Fox squirrels on campus at the University of Michigan on Saturday January 25th, 2025. Had some teams to meetings on Saturday - so had a chance for weekend squirrel watching. Another cold and snowy day in Ann Arbor. Wishing you joy, health, and peace wherever you are. Sending you hugs if you need that also.
Surprisingly, there were at least four freights on the Chicago Sub this Christmas Day. I managed to miss the first one, a westbound intermodal. The second freight was the HGFDBRC (Grand Forks-Belt Railway) led by BNSF 7153.
