The classic shot at Ashness Bridge. Got set up and waited for the sun to move more to my left to hit the rocks and bridge. Not very often you have this place to yourself.

Ash Cave
Hocking Hills State Park
Logan, Ohio
Situated in the southern region of Hocking Hills State Park, Ash Cave is the largest recess cave in the state, measuring 700 feet from end to end with the rim rising 90 feet high. Ash Cave - beyond doubt is the most spectacular feature of the entire park.
Ash Cave is one of my favorite places to visit especially after several days of good heavy rain.
Ashness Jetty Derwent water a popular spot amongst photographers and people to view the mountains across the lake.

My last stop of the day was at Ashness Bridge overlooking Derwent Water in The Lake District.

on 30th March the law to stay at home was lifted and a trip to the Lake District found it very quiet meaning I could get this shot at Ashness Bridge , the place was all to myself for 30 minutes, unheard of on days with weatehr like that
In 1977, these 22 Ash trees were planted and subsequently tended to and shaped by renowned artist and sculptor David Nash.
Ashness Jetty on Derwent Water, this is the 3rd of the series of shots taken on monday evening. This one just as the fiery sky starts to ease back. I couldn't be here and not do the jetty, but i fancied doing a closer view of the end of the jetty. Derwent Water, Keswick in the Lake District.
I met Ash the artist and musician on the streets of Bath, we had a great chat about his travels around the world and about New Orleans I place I would love to photograph.

Sunset on the last night (Saturday) of our trip to the Lake District..... This Jetty has been photographed to death, but not by me :)
In 2011, these old Monon intermediate searchlights guarded CSX's aptly-named Monon Sub at Ash Grove, just north of Battle Ground, Indiana. They have since been removed.

This barn owl, Ash, a 3 year old captive bred bird, is probably the most unusual visitor to the Diving Museum.
An absolute sweetie.
The classic Ashness bridge with Skiddaw mountain in the distance ... With the low cloud & early morning light it seemed worth stopping off for a quick image of this classic lakeland scene ..
On our track westwards on the F910 Austurleið we made a short detour at a signpost "Svartá".
On this track we had to cross a section of deep and impressive back ash. It looks and feels like sand but in fact it is ash from volcanic eruptions in this area.
Between August 2014 and February 2015 a series of fissure eruptions formed the new Holohraun lava field that covers an area of 85 km² with a volume of 1,4 km³. This is one of the largest lava fields in Island.
If you follow the track to the end there is a good starting point to visit the Holurhaun lava field, the Jökulsá á Fjöllum river and the Skínandi waterfall.
