Stagecoach in South Wales Alexander PS-bodied Volvo B10M 20697 is now the famous "ASDA Rider", based at Blackwood depot. This sees her used primarily on the free bus service between Blackwood Town Centre and the town's ASDA store, for which she carries an all-over lime green livery.

She came to South Wales with sister 20698 from Stagecoach West in late 2002, but was new to the Cambus fleet. Originally fitted with bus seats, she received a set of dual-purpose seating a few years back, and was subsequently fitted with seat belts. She assumed a new role in 2008 when allocated to a school contract at Merthyr Tydfil depot's Brecon outstation, though would re-appear at Merthyr Tydfil during the school holidays.

This is evident in this September 2012 shot of her in the town operating Service 1 to Bargoed, which was the usual allocation for the depot's dwindling number of Volvo B10Ms in recent years.

Wonderful machines.

Stagecoach Ribble Leyland National 2 841 wore this uninspiring allover white livery with the addition of bodyside ASDA logos for a while in the early nineties. This was due to it being used on a contract to the aforementioned supermarket on a free shoppers service.

Leaving the Dunstable store

Well its gone up, its now a massive £2 for processing, used to be £1.50, plus 97p a cd (up to 200 images). Downside is they're no pro lab, the scans are not great, some people have had bad negs but not me yet. The way I look at it, the more money I save, the more photographs I can take. Feel free to share your experiences of the ASDA photo centre?
