Is this truly what our nation has become? This is a sign in an ASDA car park, and I assume it's the same in every ASDA. My guess is that it means 'you're in a carpark, there's lots of cars, parking. Keep control of your kids for god's sake'. But look at that parent, has obesity become so normal that it has to be reflected in road signs? They're not only fat but also totally assexual, thereby also reflecting the trend for one-parent families. And is that equally assexual child standing politely and respecting their elders? No, even on road signs the children are disruptive and unruly, look at him/her straining at their fat parent's hand, desperate to run off and 'tag' ASDA or shout on a bus.

I'm always a bit scared before I go in here. It's full of people who seem to be in a hurry. They strop when there's a queue. Which is always.

Nowadays dwarfed by the ASDA complex behind, the Union Bridge in Newton Abbot over the River Lemon a once important pack horse route between Bushel and Abbot it has a tablet on the other side citing the name and may well have been part of the original pre turnpike road through to Ashburton .
