Once,
I had a dream.
somewhere between night and morning.
I was hiding
in the shadow of the moon
and
I forgot, for a moment,
the madness of reality
Until ...
I waked up in my cloud
high, above everything.
Is this the moment to learn to fly?
Or shall I swing
on the rhythm of heartbeats
saying that happiness is nearby?
and ... what remains:
Empty bubbles as memories.

JAAK7768 - De wolkenschommel16-9
I try to scatter the light so it becomes only tangible
and in the dark I try to hide for the time,
because with aging the dreams are molting and memories fade,
evaporate.
This is why music is my endless desire to you.
This is why my cello hums - very gently and almost inaudibly - on the colours of orange and red.
--------------
Ik probeer het licht zo te verstrooien
dat het alleen nog tastbaar wordt
en in het donker probeer ik me
te verstoppen voor de jagende tijd
omdat bij het ouder worden de dromen vervellen
en de herinneringen vervagen,
verdampen
zo is muziek mijn eindeloos verlangen naar jou,
zo neuriet mijn cello - heel zachtjes en haast onhoorbaar - op de tonen van oranje en rood

It seems to be a story
and all the sense seems to vanish
as a sound,
dragged by the wind.
And you my love,
you are hiding
somewhere in my hart
deep
I tried to remember you
but as time goes by
memories become like old pictures
colors are fading.
It seems to be a dream
but I won't wake up
to avoid the pain of loosing you
again.
- I miss you so hard -
Nowadays,
I only have my cello to share my sadness
and … while playing there is only you

Maybe we played all our cards
in that strange game
love or life
What does it matter,
if we don't know how to play
The gods throw the dice,
the attempt to loose,
what we can't win.
is it a sin
And you, my love
if there was a glimpse of light…
Still it remains
covered in the dark
In these days
I buried the colors,
the colors of orange and red

Leaving,… you do overnight.
When the moon is hiding.
When everything is still and quiet.
When the streetlights are glowing as small candles.
When there are no more words left.
When dreams are evaporating.
And the only music you hear is the sound of your own steps, running.
Running …
A vague of smoke fills the station when the train leaves. A soft requiem.
And I know that you will never return despite all the promises you made.
And I will forget.
Forget the meaning … of the color of orange and red.

JAAK7442 - au revoir
Le diner
It was raining and cold that evening. We went to a bistro, somewhere in Brussels. We had a chat about music, wine and pleasure. The common talk to avoid the pain that love can bring. Cava, Bordeau and wodka … the grand escape from reality. You talk about your dreams, the Opera aria's you would sing, the scenes you would play and I was listening, drawing your shadows, creating my bubbels ..
As a painter, I know how the light can reflect colors and how they sketch the details of loneliness.
But that evening, your eyes where shinning and it felt as magic.
As you were pretty, ... and just the colors of orange and red.
Gymnopédies Eric
The film Satie and Suzanne: you can find it on Youtube:
Wodka, Morgane and me.
Later that evening, in my studio. I saw you looking in my sketchbook, looking for a story, looking for a drawing not yet photographed, searching for a hidden secret.
And what you said about colors and paint, about drawings, the secrets of the stills, the dance of the shadows in the light. The things a painter should know… I didn't hear, just looked at you, dreaming, …
But this time, no past, no memories, only the moment of being. Not freezing the moment of a scene to remember. Just empty bubbles and no paintings anymore.
Just.. the colors of orange and red.

today was Rhianna's first day of art school. She totally loved it! i've tried rhianna in other activities - music class and then i tried gymnastics - but she hated them all. i'm so glad i finally found her niche. next week they will be making masks. and yes, she wanted to wear her tutu to art school. lol
It was in a cafe in Brussels,
a small coffee house colored in the deep of dark orange.
You sat alone near the window.
Our eyes met and you smiled to me while sipping your cup of coffee
I was enchanted by your glance.
and what followed was
a strange game of looking and looking away,
seducing with eyes,
challenging
and for a moment I …
You stand up, took your black coat and your handbag,
and walked towards me.
With a soft voice you whispered
nearly in my ear: "I am Eve "
and before I could answer…
I heard the bell,
the door was closed gently
and you were gone, vanished…
forever

My Love,
I am writing you to say that I am fine now.
Paris is wonderful. I have a room with a view on "la Bastille".
I already did audition at the "Grand Opera National de Paris". Hopefully, I get a role in Mozart's play: Cosi fan tutte.
Yesterday, I went "au Grand Café" to warm me up. While I was sitting there, drinking a cup of coffee, I met a painter… You have to meet him. His work is remarkable. You must see his drawings. He wants to make a portrait of me, he said.

My French is getting better these days and … I think I am happy now…
Though, memories are slipping through my fingers ...
... vanishing in the colors of orange and red.

Snow,
ice, fog
And the color blue.
It was late and the night was dimly illuminated by the moon. The stars disappeared into the mist. I looked through the window of my studio and I even tried to follow the snowflakes. A symphony filled the room.
Once you said that the earth is less cold in orange and I had to try.
I want to love you, but I do not know how, …
Hope is nothing more than a delayed disappointment enshrined in the colors of blue.

...
There were nights, and mornings
when you clung to me.
Found your way into my bones, my joints
into my veins.
Like an animal you coiled your darkness around me
you spelled your name in charcoals
all over my body "
———— "These Days" by Ane Brun
Listen to Ane Brun: "These Days".
"Stop
All that I have is all that you've given to me
Did you never worry that I'd come to depend on you
I gave you all the love I had in me
Now I find you've lied and I can't believe it's true
Wrapped in her arms I see across the street
And I can't help but wonder if she knows what's going on
You talk of love but you don't know how it feels
When you realize that you're not the only one".
Song by Ane Brun "Stop"
ASCII Sculpture, 2009.
From the catalogue:
In 2001, Vuk Ćosić staged a solo show
at the Digital Artlab in Tel Aviv. On that
occasion, he realized the installation
ASCIImades – Sculptures, in which a
slideshow of ASCII images was projected
onto 30 cm high white sculptures in a dark
space. The images were nothing less than
pictures of the same sculptures, converted
into ASCII code. In his words, “nobody saw
that show”.
For the Pixxelpoint festival, Ćosić has
designed a miniaturized replica of the same
installation, using some small sculptures
he found in a vending machine in Seoul.
This diminutive installation is meant to be
observed by the viewer through a pinhole.
As usual, Ćosić is playing chess with
Duchamp, his “ideal father”, referencing
both the Boîte-en-valise and Étant donnés.
Vickers Vimy G-EAOU is now located in a new space at Adelaide Airport.
It came five months after work began to dismantle the 100-year-old biplane that carried the first all-Australian air crew, including South Australian brothers Sir Keith and Sir Ross Smith along with mechanics Jim Bennett and Wally Shiers from Hounslow Heath Aerodrome to Darwin – via Singapore at Batavia – in December 1919.
It took the team aboard the Vickers Vimy, largely made of wood lined with fabric, a total of 28 days to complete their journey, with over 18,000 kilometres travelled.
Previously the original Vickers Vimy aircraft – registration G-EAOU – had been preserved in a purpose-built climate-controlled museum at Adelaide Airport. It is now within a section of the Adelaide Airport terminal $200 million expansion.
The aircraft was separated carefully into three main pieces in preparation of the relocation – the two outer wings, and the fuselage and engines with the stub wings.
According to Adelaide Airport, each segment of the plane was wrapped, and scaffolding was built in order to carry the weight and protect the structure during the move.
Local art restoration and conservation centre Artlab Australia with the task of carrying out the careful deconstruction, relocation, and piecing back together of the aircraft.
Author and aviation history specialist David Crotty has been appointed as the exhibition curator, while leading South Australian architecture firm Baukultur and exhibition design specialists Arketype have designed the new exhibition space for the Vickers Vimy.
