This image is from my project about Little Lake Artemis. It is a amall lake at the Artemis Town, East of Athens. Although it is a protected area no one is protecting this place. This photo is part of my blog about Lake Artemis, in order to attract attention to this place. Thank you for visiting. My blog is: lakeartemis.wordpress.com/

The Artemis III mission has been in the works for many years and the broader Artemis program is expected to cost many billions of dollars. The last time anyone stepped foot on the Moon was in 1972 during the Apollo 17 mission, so to say it is vital that everything goes according to plan, including concerning the HULC, would be an understatement.
The Artemis III mission will also be the longest lunar mission ever. Two astronauts will spend about a week conducting various investigations and experiments on the lunar surface. The HULC needs to be able to handle the lengthy trip without fail.
The customized NIKON Z9 they are taking to the Moon not only features different protective equipment and hardware, but the camera functionality itself will be tweaked. Nikon is developing custom firmware that simplifies FTP protocols, optimizes shutter behavior for the environment, improves HDR functionality, and changes the menu layout and file naming structure.

NASA will hold a media teleconference at 6 p.m. EDT Tuesday, Aug. 30, to discuss the flight test of the agency’s mega Moon rocket and uncrewed Orion spacecraft, currently at Launch Pad 39B at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, ahead of the #Artemis I lunar mission.
NASA’s Artemis I flight test is the first integrated test of the agency’s deep space exploration systems: the Orion spacecraft, the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket, and supporting ground systems. In this image, the SLS rocket with the Orion spacecraft aboard is seen atop the mobile launcher at Launch Pad 39B on Monday, Aug. 29, 2022.

The vehicle assembly building at the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral. There has been a lot on the NASA Artemis program. The crew has been selected for the next flight late next year. The ultimate goal with Artemis is to go from the Moon and onto Mars.
I thought the people would help with perspective on the size of this structure! On the sides of the building in gray are the huge garage doors. The VAB is 525 ft tall, 518 ft wide and the floor space covers 8 acres. Seen on the bus tour.

Artemis is the Greek goddess of the hunt, the moon, forests and hills and archery, among other things.
I found this interesting place in Franschhoek…it was the blue lions that caught my eye. :-)

ARTEMIS was the Olympian goddess of hunting, the wilderness and wild animals. She was also a goddess of childbirth, and the protectress of the girl child up to the age of marriage--her twin brother Apollon was similarly the protector of the boy child. Together the two gods were also bringers of sudden death and disease.
In ancient art Artemis was usually depicted as a girl or young maiden with a hunting bow and quiver of arrows.
Her entrance commands presence, uttering not a single word. Gliding gracefully, soft steps barely touch the ground. She flows through crowds of grey, illuminating paths with her captivating spirit, felt like fingers crawling up your spine.... and when she smiles, contagious inspiration to shine........

Artemis Outpost is a little station on an asteroid stuck in the gravitational field of a gas planet. Great for research or refuelling the lush rock makes for nice stop-over for travelers in the Chrono Cluster.
Built for the Asteroid Category of this year's Space Jam.
Awesome input as per usual from Chris, Theo and Isaac – thanks!
