I'm in.
I'm in!
But what is this place? It looks like an entrance, a lobby perhaps? But what kind of a lobby has no signs, no furniture, no reception desk, no personality? Interior decorater must have really streched himself with the place. Hey, somebody should give the man award! If it had been upon me, I would go for something more user friendly – say, welcome to the blabla headquaters. But no one is interested in my opinion. The room is empty. Only shadows staring at me as if I'm intruding their secret meeting.
Suddenly a feeling of chilling realization have struck my head. A powerful helpless feeling placed inside this emply place of shadows. Something important is missing. And it is coming from me. Where is it?
Where is my own shadow?

The day continues its impossible course. I lost all track of time by now. I could have been out for ages, hours or only few minutes for all I know. I could easily »overslept« a century. How would I know? Here I am. Awake in this empty place robbed of all senses. For sure the building looks like it could contain some answers. I might as well give it a try. Or end up at the bottom of the ocean talking to fish in the very next minute. I have no control over me. And it has became quite obvious I'm not getting home any time soon. At least my will has no influence to make it so.

This is a repost of a shot I took a while back of my son's Ibanez Artcore hollow body guitar.
I decided to include it in the 'Art in the Instrument' series with my other recent posts of my instruments.
My 52 Cameras in 52 Weeks exhibition opens to the public today and runs until 17th July. It's at the Artcore Gallery in central Derby.
was late and I needed to shoot something before I ended the day...
I wasn't very happy with this one having already shot a similar subject.
So here it is, my day4 post: guitar and a couple flashlights
From left to right: Ibanez Artcore A73 semi-hollowbody electric, Vox Pathfinder 15R amp, Shure SM57 mic, Line6 POD XT modeling amp/pedal, misc. pedals & effects.

Suddenly everything becomes so clear, clear as an old dusty room illuminated by fresh morning rays playing hide and seek with grumpy old shadows. A huge bright light is overtaking me, going through me or I through it, I can't really tell. It is overpowering motion and I feel I'am just about to pass out again, reboot as a primitive mind of a little unimportant plankton living uneventful life until swallowed by the unfortunate event that goes by the classifiaction of the largest mammal on the Earth. Staring at this giant hole of knowledge in front of me the prospect of being a little unimportant plankton doesn't feel so bad at all. But the hole is already pulling me inside.
"Everything is just as it suppose to be, isn't it?" I hear myself saying.
"Yes." the echo replies.

Visiting Lignite Mine near Bluemountain, Australia during the training on Environmental Assessment, every one walked to the meeting room. No one notice this artistic scenery.
I stopped to take this shot, stayed further few minutes with appreciation. Then ran fast to the meeting room. This always happen to me.
How I love this scenery. How the hard place coulsd turn so wide artistic canvas for me.
Why I always see this and no one see that with me... ?

This is the first time I saw rainbow so close and so clear. I used to see close but not clear. I used to see clear but far.
So near that I felt like to touch, though I know this is the beauty we can see only but can never touch it.
It was taken on the first day in Sydney. First place visiting.. the Park near the Opera House. So good and warm welcoming for one month in Sydney -- the training course on Environment.

I open my eyes. The view is clear. A familiar site. I look at my hands. My jacket. Awesome jacket. So glad I bought it. Purchase of the year. I look at my pants. Shoes. Everything is in place. I look around. The day is ending and my city never looked so beautiful before. I close my eyes, take a deep breath, hold it for a moment and exhale. I open them again. I'm still here. Here… Why am I here? I don't remember getting here. How did I get here? And why everything moves so fast? And where is everybody?
Anybody?

Disc film taken at the opening of my exhibition in Derby on 25th June. Disc film was made between 1982 and 1999, each disc took 15 photos, the negatives were tiny and the image quality was poor. This Halina Disc 100 camera carries the Radio Rentals name and was probably a free gift. My film expired in 1994 further contributing to the poor image quality. I used an external flash which failed to fire on 2 occasions, I also managed to get my finger in the way a couple of times!

Navigating the dark long corridor like a transparent glimpse of air, the quietness becomes unbearable. Everything is immersed in the darkness. The light cuts only through upper layers unreachable to me, so I stay below in the depths of the black well of solitude. Isolated. No hint of a soul around. Just me sealed in a box of uncertainty. What if I'm to be forgotten? What if my traces will vanish before I can reach the world I know and knows me? What then?

Wow! What just happened? How did I get here all of a sudden? I… What the hell is going on?!? Ok. Ok. Calm yourself. Think. This is the same area. It's not like I'm on the other side of the planet. So, how did I relocate to here without remembering? And why everything looks so strange? There must be something wrong with me. Maybe I hit my head. Maybe i'm experiencing some kind of black-outs. Yes, that's probably it. Definitely. That's it. Ok. Best thing to do is go to hospital. Yes, hospital.
Hospital…
I wouldn't go to hospital.
No?
No.
Ok, so where would you go?
Home.
Home?
Yes, home.
Why?
Home is familiar. Home is a reference. Home you know. Home is … a safe place.
Safe place… You are right! You are absolutely right! That is what I'm going to do.
Go home.
Let's go home.

Time for another addition the foundation series! Yay!
This is the 7th picture in the series. I shot it in August while my boyfriend and I stayed at his aunt's house for a couple of days. I spotted this piece of furniture in the bedroom and I immediately decided to shoot something with it, so I came up with this idea. After all a mirror is the go to prop when the theme is the relationship with yourself, right? I happened to also have the mask with me, so I climbed on and this is the result.
Be sure to follow me on facebook for links to my photography articles on Artcore Magazine, news and before/after photos of my pictures!
In Laos, Walking along Song River Bank, On opposite was where the sun gives last light goodbye, I stood for some moments to impress the dreamy scene of beautiful sunset over mountain ranges. I wish nature blesses us every day with this beauty
As the sky were painted red by sunset, as ferry is moving, the wind just touched our face. I'm not alone who touched this precious moment.

This is my Bali shot I'm impressed the most. I think I could not take this kind of shot again. It may come only once.
No manipulation..
The intense light was from Tungsten light on the beach. Hope you will like it and I like it so much.
(added) ...
I was standing on the top stair and she was about to step up from the sand beach. She moved up northeast but I move down the camera southwest in almost action like wave curves. There comes the curl lines around her hands and feet.
She was a tourist probably from China dressed in shorts and body glove t-shirt and tied her hair. There comes her beautiful embossed figure.
I could imagine the outcome from this opposite panning between us but I donot expect about the curve lines of movement. I guess long exposure still worked on while I moves camera down in curve. Maybe the way I sway my camera maybe just like to move to painting brush.
Have to try again but somehow mystery is charming too to keep it remain mystry.
Sand was bathed by the tungsten light - come strong and intense color. I try auto exposure and auto level but there is very slightly change and I prefer it original already, so comes no maniopulation.
