Headed north from Natural Bridges N. P. through the Indian Creek Recreational Area on the way to the Needles District of Canyonlands from Natural Bridges N. P.
This photo was captured on the only rainy day of our vacation. We started our day at the Natural Bridges National Monument in Utah. The rain was intermittent but cleared later in the morning and we were even treated to a spectacular rainbow.
Natural Bridges includes three large rock bridges viewable from the roadside but best visited by hiking down into the lower levels of the park. Because it was wet and rainy and the slickrock was, well, slick, we decided to stick to the vicinity of the roadside parking areas and skipped hiking down towards the bridges themselves.
My images of the natural bridges were unremarkable but as the weather conditions improved so did the photo opportunities.
I got this shot parked on the side of the road as the skies started to clear and the magnificent light began to play across the rock face.
I have been here before and decided to return. This time, would consist of a more scenic look at the area. More than just the boathouse, but rather the docks, the rocks, and the many stocks of green.
The natural bathing area on Hindenburgstrasse in Kiel-Düsternbrook has been there around for over 80 years. It was built on the occasion of the Olympic Games in 1936, because the sailing competitions took place in the Kiel Fjord. After the war, the "German Sea Swimming Championships" were held here. After that, the bathing area decayed more and more, until the end of the 1960s even threatened to demolish it. Then part of it was demolished, another was renewed until a severe storm in 2002 severely affected the bathing jetty. The bathing area was then renewed through private donations. In recent years, the seaside resort has had a great renaissance, not least thanks to the sea bar.

Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument.
This area memorializes the US Army's 7th Cavalry and the Lakotas and Cheyennes in one of the Indian's last armed efforts to preserve their way of life. Here on June 25 and 26 of 1876, 263 soldiers, including Lt. Col. George A. Custer and attached personnel of the US Army, died fighting several thousand Lakota and Cheyenne warriors.

Somewhere along the Utah and Arizona border by Monument Valley. That day the blue sky and clouds were incredible as there were showers in the area. We would drive in and out of the showers only to see sunshine and these clouds.
A few more edits from a trip to Blackmount and Glencoe just after a snowfall.
From the bridge, normally this shot works better from under the wee footbridge, but it was deadly icy underfoot, and i didn't fancy getting soaked.

A Vesper Sparrow, with food in the form of a grasshopper, paused briefly at Red Rock Coulee Natural Area south of the city of Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. It was presumably on its way to nearby young to sustain, though I did not see a nest. (The small chestnut patch visible at the top of its wing is a diagnostic feature for this species.)
This is part of the industrial area of the city, It shows the old 'Bay Horse' pub and the 'Maizecor' Silo which is one of the remaining Silos alongside The River Hull,
Geothermal energy, the most important source of energy.
Geothermal area is defined by the temperature of the groundwater at a depth of around 1,000m: if it is higher than 150°C (the boiling point is shifted due to the pressure).
This energy provides electricity + hot water + streets can be heated in Reykjavik in winter
