Le temps hier était dingue. Pendant presque une heure il y avait un soleil éblouissant assorti de forte pluie. Avec comme résultat ceci ! J'ai rarement vu pareil arc-en-ciel qui a duré près d'une heure.
Yesterday's time was weird. For almost an hour there was a dazzling sun with heavy rain. As a result this! I rarely saw such a rainbow that lasted nearly an hour.
Un bel arc-en-ciel à côté de l'église Saint-Vaast rénovée et écologique, à Loos-en-Gohelle dans les Hauts-de-France.
The other landmark of Paris. This one was taken during blue hour before sunrise. You would think that a city like this never sleeps but there was remarkably little traffic on the streets. No cars were photoshopped out in the process of making the image. It was that empty. Only the occasional vehicle, me and a very shady looking guy who was kind of following me around. At least in my mind. Probably he was just waiting for the Metro to start operating. Either way... I left.

This image reminds me of the adage 'Keep your head whilst those around you lose theirs'.
I was stood perilously in the middle of the very busy rush hour traffic for this shoot but it was worth it for the majesty of the Arc amidst all the mania.

Torna la temporada de la via làcte d'estiu!
Dissabte passat acompanyada del Mestre @fer_astrolandscape_photo, vam passar la nit desperts i al ras fent la meva primera via làctia en arc i abans de marxar vaig fer aquesta per assegurar una foto de la nit.
Resulta que sí podré revelar la VL en arc, però mentre en poso a ello he fet aquesta.

Arco de Triunfo (en catalán: Arc de Triomf) es un monumento situado en la confluencia entre el paseo de Lluís Companys, el paseo de San Juan y la ronda de San Pedro, en la ciudad de Barcelona (España). Fue diseñado por el arquitecto José Vilaseca como entrada principal a la Exposición Universal de Barcelona de 1888. La decoración escultórica corrió a cargo de Josep Reynés, Josep Llimona, Antoni Vilanova, Torquat Tasso, Manuel Fuxá y Pere Carbonell. Esta obra está inscrita como Bien Cultural de Interés Local (BCIL) en el Inventario del Patrimonio Cultural catalán con el código 08019/1053.
A diferencia de otros arcos de triunfo de marcado carácter militar, el Arco de Triunfo de Barcelona tiene un mayor componente civil, caracterizado por el progreso artístico, científico y económico. El Arco de Triunfo ha sido utilizado como meta en alguna ocasión para algunas de las carreras pedestres populares más importantes de Barcelona, como la Jean Bouin o la Maratón de Barcelona. Asimismo, fue utilizado como recinto para la celebración de festivales y eventos musicales como el Primavera Sound. El monumento fue restaurado en 1989
El acueducto Els Arcs, En Estivella, es una de las construcciones hidráulicas más destacadas del Camp de Morvedre. Aún en uso, forma parte de la Acequia Mayor de Sagunto, que tiene como misión hacer atravesar el agua por encima del cauce irregular del río Palància. En la zona se han encontrado restos de época romana, por lo que se supone que el acueducto primitivo podría ser de la época del alto imperio romano. La construcción actual es posterior a 1581, pues el 16 de septiembre de ese año, una riada lo derribó y se aprovecharon los sillares que quedaron.
The aqueduct Els Arcs, en Estivella, is one of the most outstanding hydraulic constructions in El Camp de Morvedre. Still in use, it is part of the Acequia Mayor de Sagunto, whose mission is to cross the water above the irregular channel of the Palància river. Roman remains have been found in the area, so it is assumed that the primitive aqueduct could be from the era of the high Roman Empire. The present construction is after 1581, because the 16 of September of that year, a riverflood demolished it and the ashlars that remained were recovered and aprofited for the new construction.
