Once you get past the fairly large Ole Miss display immediately to the left inside the main front entrance, looking a bit further left shows apparel which has been placed close to the front interior wall for a sidewalk sale. Apparently this new store hit the ground running with Kroger's latest Marketplace promotions! Further down along the left side wall is the pharmacy, which I have yet to get a really good view of. I thought I would dislike that the pharmacy doesn't have the Marketplace font for it's main wall signage, as can be seen in this photo of the Jonesboro Marketplace location. But truth be told, I prefer the more modern, less "in your face" style of the signage in the new Hernando store!

Going between the home and grocery sides of the store requires cutting through the clothing department. While this store was not set up with a separated, "store-within-a-store"-style clothing department, it was clearly designed to make it separated in appearance, with a drop ceiling, slightly different flooring, and a different decor style. Interestingly, the apparel department signs (and much of the rest of the clothing section decor) are essentially identical to what the Redmond store had.
The shelf on the right looks pretty bad, but overall I don't remember the store being totally trashed when we visited - just the typical misthrown stuff here and there, pretty much like any other liquidation.

This is the very edge of the apparel section in the Jonesboro Marketplace Kroger, as the health and beauty aisles can be seen just beyond to the right.

This department had already started to have some empty areas, like that shelf on the wall in the background.

Apparel was in the right front section of the store, in front of that unusual home/hardware department. The right wall here itself was unusual as well, looking as if was crudely constructed to possibly downsize the store at some point long ago, and/or make the part of the space was divided off into a stockroom.

Back inside, the focus was once again mostly on the grocery side of the store, as we look up toward the front and the blue Pickup tower. We did venture over into apparel (as seen in a photo from the previous batch), but once again I didn't make it over anywhere near the other side's actionway.

This is (was) the women's clothing area of this Macy's store.
This is from the liquidation of Macy's at Midway Mall in Elyria, Ohio. This store opened in 1990 as a May Company department store. This 105,000 square foot store replaced an O'Neil's / May Company store in Lorain. In the early 1990s, this store rebranded as Kaufmann's. In 2006, the store was rebranded to Macy's. In January 2016, Macy's decided to close this location. At the time of writing this (early March 2016), the store is having its liquidation sale.

Misses apparel was located right up near the mall entrance. There was still a good bit of that department's merchandise left when we visited the store back in early October 2013.

Here's another area of the store that was very neat and well-stocked. If only some of that stock could have sold a bit better...

Didn't come up with any more Whitehaven Sears photos, but I did have these, even though all of the interior shots I have left from this store have at least some degree of blur, and this one is no exception. Phone camera quality in general has improved quite a bit in the 8 years since these photos were taken - can't believe this liquidation was that long ago.

DXL Mens Apparel (7,070 square feet)
12233 Jefferson Avenue, Suites 5 & 6, Jefferson Green, Newport News, VA
This location opened in the mid 2010s.
Suite 5 was previously a 17th Street Surf Shop, which opened in 1990 and closed in the early 2010s.
Suite 6 was originally On Edge, which opened in 1988. It became Ski World in fall 1989 and EZ Rims in the early 2010s.
As I've mentioned before, this store has a second story over most of the home department, which is where the clothes department lives. The "Apparel" sign here almost looks like it's out of a different decor package, but I'm guessing it's original -- this interior doesn't have a very consistent style anyways. It's also kind of strange to see how tacked-on the Books +& Magazines sign looks, since I'm fairly certain the department has always been where it is now.
In celebration of my 20,000th picture upload to Flickr, I give you a look at something that combines both my LEGO and our retail interests: a proper LEGO department store made from LEGO in minifigure scale.
