The rare -based only on the river Moselle- Moselle-Apollo at its preferred food plant , the white fathen on the Apollo path between Cochem and Valwig.

Rattling Run

One of three waterfalls on Rattling Run. This was my first time here. I only made it to the first waterfall this time, but I will be back soon.
If you make the hike, access via Rock Furnace Trail. Take the trail down the beaten path until you reach a random park bench. Make a right at the park bench and follow the lower trail. It's very rocky/difficult to navigate with handheld gear. Trekking poles and a secure backpack with your gear will get you there with ease. Waterproof / water resistant boots suggested.

The Apollo temple stands on a peninsula on the shore of Lake Badenburg inside the park of the Nymphenburg Palace. The monopteros with its ten columns was made from sandstone and is one of the landmarks of the park. The tree in the foreground actually collapsed recently and changed this composition of the temple. Apollo probably wouldn’t mind the extra drama.
